I can wholeheartedly recommend this game - it's so darn fun! It plays like a mix of WWF No Mercy and the PS1 Smackdown Games - there's a lot of nuance for such a simple and easy to pick up control scheme. The game is pure fun, the roster is amazing, the community creations are superb (2B Pencil, Optimus Prime, Kane, and Pac Man are some great highlights), and I can't wait to play it with friends when the chance comes up! :)

Also the support on the community in steam is excellent - they are really staying on top of bug reports, and are very nice about when a player such as me reports a bug that isn't a bug with controls!

I recommend this game highly, and think I'll actually get more fun from this than 2K20 this year. :)

I got this game on release, and it still has legs in July! This year's game definitely had a more definite feel to it, with an actual story mode, and none of the annoyances that came with mycareer last year (traipsing around a parking lot before every match got old fast).

The gameplay is superb, and the game performs flawlessly on my computer. The minor improvements are mostly spot-on, however I'd love a more fluid hell in a cell if they get to that, as it can be a bit tricky to get your wrestler out the cell once the cell is broken. However, all the minor changes that have been introduced besides this one have been top notch, and I don't feel short changed in the slightest from this year's game. Recommended for people new to the series, and perhaps people who wanted a career mode. I'd still say 18 is perfectly serviceable if that isn't of interest though.

Early Access Review
I saw the trailer for the game, and immediately knew that I needed this game in my life. I was going to hold out until it had gone a bit further into early access, but I was lucky enough to be given a key during a giveaway from the Devs. Having played it, I'd happily fork out £5 for this game in its current state, as it's briliant. If anyone enjoyed crashing rollercoasters in the RTC series, or enjoy creating carnage in general, then this game might be for you.

The game centres around crashing trains in creative methods and refining your crashes to have the highest casualty rates and optimal destruction. To keep things fresh, there are objectives added such as killing one particular NPC and not using a particular implement, getting a certain number of objects destroyed and people killed... those sorts of things. They each usually will warrant their own run, so it does add replay value.

I'm just editing my review because I just discovered there was a menu thing that I thought was a bug, but was in fact me being stupid! :)

As I said before, even if the game stays in its current state, I'd recommend it, and can't wait to see what comes out of future updates down the line (pun fully intended).

Headliner plays in a similar vein to Papers Please, but with a different angle where you are a newspaper editor shaping the opinion of the masses. It does this in a really simplistic but rewarding fashion, where you are at your desk approving and blocking article from being published.

Controlling content is a really interesting and fun dynamic, as every choice feels important. The game does a great job of reinforcing this through the sequences where you get to see the effects of your editorialisation in the streets on the way home. I had two playthroughs where I tried to be biased to both sides of the same topic, and you really do get a feel for the game's world being shaped. I can see that there could be a really interesting debate or conversation after playing this game, it was a lot of fun and covered some really interesting ideas which are really relevant to our world's media landscape.

I'd recommended if you like games with some replayability and choice, and want a break from more fast-paced games. I managed to speed through my second play-through in about 20-30 minutes, so it can be a quick one to go through if you're after a quick way to kill some time.
