Initially... I bought this game for the cool style, and fast action - and then within half an hour turned it off, annoyed that I was terrible at it and couldn't get past 3 or so stages.

Then I played again, and have had some of the most fun I've had in a game in years! :) Persevering, unlocking more weapons and planes, helped a lot! :) That and also being able to say "okay this run sucked, and I didn't get any cool upgrades, but maybe next game" keeps me coming back! :) It's really neat, and the play style does feel different with each setup. :)

Recommended! :) If you like a reasonable challenge and upgrading things especially! :)

As of 28/08/22 there isn't controller support, in case that matters - but this is early early times! :) I'll try to remember to update if this changes! :)

I have been following the development of this project on Twitter etc, and have been saying to myself "I should definitely check that out" for some time. I've spent a grand total of 2 hours in the engine/tool, and have made a car drive around a desert, and am very inspired to jump into making an isometric RPG!

I'm a Unity developer by trade, and am really, really, really appreciating the love and attention to workflow that's gone into this RPG in a Box. Things like character input, menus, pathfinding, inventory management, animation, asset creation, transparent materials...it's just... there?! It is exactly what it promises, in the box! :)

Then we go onto the visual scripting - it looks simple yet powerful - I can follow exactly what things should do in plain English! As a non-coder I could follow that, and it's a fun process for me to think visually again. The workflow of making assets to make a game is new to me, I'm not sat designing system after system, I'm just creating cute 3D models, a map, some logic and pressing go! :)

Honestly, when I was a kid, this was what I thought game dev would be like- and this does output a serious game with serious features... just very very intuitively! :)

I'm making games in Unity, but I have wanted to make an RPG for some time, knowing fully I'll never realise it due to the complexity - not without dumping my current projects and devoting more time than I have. I think that's changed, and I'm really enjoying the process of creating in RPG in a Box! :)

So far so excellent! :) Miles, and I mean miles better than any 2K wrestling game since 2K14 - I enjoyed all the others (2020 being the exception, I didn't bother buying it even!), but this one is genuinely so fun! :) It takes me back to being a wee sprog on the PS1 :)

Now, I know there's bugs etc, but I've not seen them at all personally - I'll update this if I do, but so far I'm having a blast - and Cross platform community stuff is a really nice way to not miss out on the console creators. It does feel like they listened and made things right after the last game :)

It's age of empires - exactly as I loved and remembered it, but better. All of the quality of life changes are welcome, the core game is still magic. :)

I explored every nook of this game... I loved it! :D It rewarded patience and persistance, had a fantastic story, wonderfully grim atmosphere... some serious laughs in the dialogue... honestly one of the best games I've ever played. I'll do another playthrough sometime with another character, but I am emotionally not ready yet! :)

I have played a lot of wrestling games in my time - this is up there, it has the fun, fast pace of the old Smackdown games, the visual charm of fire pro, and a really unique roster of people I always wanted in a game (Tommy Dreamer, Blue World Order, Sabre Junior, Colt Cabana.... It's wonderful). :)

I sort of bought it initially just because it was a cool looking game and would support the roster and developers who were trying to make something they have a lot of passion for... but since buying, I've wound up playing this more than Fire Pro and 2K19... I'm seriously having a tonne of fun with the gameplay. 2K has felt like a slow slog to play matches with, whereas this I enjoy opening to play a match for the fun of it, like a wrestling fan. :)

It's brilliant. I've had this on my wishlist for a really long while and I'm so happy it holds up beyond what I imagined. You manage everything. EVERYTHING! It's like Theme Hospital, Transport Tycoon, and Rollercoaster Tycoon had a school together! Build things, zone things, hire people, annoy childs... really it does more than it says on tin! :) There's a lot of depth, an upgrade tree, cool "grants" which introduce gameplay features... I'm hooked! :)

This has managed to cure my addiction to Pillars of Eternity.... by replacing that addiction with ensuring virtual students get good life prospects and education with a dose of wellbeing! :)

Maybe my favourite game? So much to do much to see, lots to learn, progression makes my character feel awesome as I get new skills! :) Very very very fun :)

Incredibly fun, slightly zany but fun, moddable, and engaging wrestling game. The developer shows this game so much love, especially on twitter, and it's really fun. I haven't played anything like as much as I have done on mobile, but I know I'll be sinking many more hours into this game! :) Recommended if you're into wrestling games, and the tradeoff of graphical sheen and licences for great gameplay and refinement in mechanics and style is one you're interested in.

Left 4 Dead isn't it! Classic game that I loved playing many years ago, and it still holds up now. Love that it still works online. :) Great game, recommended to anyone who doesn't already have it.
