Octopath Traveller...the game that shook Square, and gave them a new insight that their customers still demand that old school Job system oriented JRPG. This game features eight characters that you recruit throughout your adventure and explore the game with. Let's begin:

Gameplay:
-For those that played Bravely Default, the BP mechanic is still here. Every turn you earn 1 BP point that you use to boost attacks/spells/skills. Later on there are methods to replenish BP more and faster, so it does expand.

-Each character has 4 chapters of story to them that ends with their own "final" boss. Of course there are several secrets to discover for yourself as you play. Those secret challenges will really test your skills in this game.

-Mix and experiment different jobs with different characters, with very flexible ways to dish out some real damage and other shenanigans mid-fight. All characters can use every job in the game, go experiment to your heart's content!

-Use overworld abilities like bartering npcs (or steal from them), challenging them to duels, etc.

Story:
-Story is pretty decent and some characters surprised me. Each character sort of have their own tone when it comes to their stories.

Music:
Pure orcheastral goodness, composed by the talented underdog Yasunori Nishiki. If you love orceastra, then this is for you.

All in all this game has many challenges and secrets despite it's budget, my only gripe is the characters don't interact as much as I expected. Some lines here and there in the tavern but don't expect an abundance of it in the main stories (if any iirc). Still, I highly recommend this JRPG to anyone in love with the genre, especially the classic and harder ones. All with a pure pixel artstyle being lit in a modern and beautiful way.
