Finally after many years we have an official port of one of the finest Build Engine games and one of the finest shooters of the 90s.

Brilliant. If you loved 90s shooters then this is just for you.

Despite my scepticism with the move to an "over the shoulder" camera system what Capcom has made is another Resident Evil remake that has the attention to detail that the Resident Evil 1 remake got. It was great reliving some memories in this graphically impressive take on one of the best games in the series and if you haven't played RE2 due to the controls then this is a great way to experiance the game.

I personally would still have liked a static camera but I knew from the moment they announced the remake that they wouldn't bring the static camera back. There is plenty of replayability with the things you can Unlock and the different scenarios/campaigns.

Capcom has been back on form the past few years and it's great to see. I hope they give Resident Evil 3 this kind of attention to detail if they decide to remake it.

Had this controller for awhile now and while it takes some getting used to I love using it when I want to just sit back and game wirh older titles that didn’t support controller. Morrowind for example.

Build quality is decent but not really as sturdy as say an Xbox Controller or even Nintendo’s own Pro Controller.

Compared to how this was to how it is now it's miles better. Loved Quake as a Kid and at first I didn't like the idea of the "Champions" the abilites they have don't seem to be as intrusive as I thought they would be. Despite these abilities the Champions have the game still relies on skill and map knowledge.

What can be said that hasnt already about these great games? The only thing is to comment on the port itself:

-Its a touched up ports of two games from the Dreamcast ,with the 2nd Game being a port of the Original Xbox with its enhanced water and shadow effects.

- Ultrawide support is there despite Sega saying otherwise though there are a few bugs with the menu which is being fixed in an upcoming patch

- It is locked at 30fps which isnt surprising but the game does have Bloom effects and higher resolution support.

Its a solid port but these games are not for everyone. They are slow and methodical and require you to get lost and find your own way through the world by talking to people, looking at signs, looking at your journal etc. No waypoints here!

But if you can get past that then its two games that are well worth time investment.
