I'm so glad I gave this game another try. I hated it at first because I didn't "get" it. Much like prey it starts off very overwhelming and directionless which is uncommon for modern games, but it starts to make sense within an hour or two if you stick with it and learn the game mechanics. This game is not a roguelike, it is a metroidvania with the map being divided into both 4 different sections, and 4 different times of day. Each run unlocks new pieces of that map until you have full access to kill all 7 visionaries in one day. It can get a little bit repetitive, but the art direction, gameplay and graphics are absolutely stellar and the power progression is very meaningful. By the end I was running extra loops just for fun because i was a literal teleporting demi-god sacrificing everyone in the map within minutes. 9/10

I really wanted to like it. There are a lot of good ideas and strong art direction here, but the combat is just so absurdly dull. Its honestly hard to describe how hard it sucks and how bad it feels.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to turn off any setting that requires Nvidia gameworks (it will tell you in settings) and "Tree relief" or else it will tank you fps and run poorly.

Otherwise, Far Cry 4 has aged extremely well graphically, mechanically, and narratively. 8/10

Fallout 4.5

It's flawed, but its nowhere near as bad as the youtube gaming ComplainOsphere makes it out to be. its a massive game with a very detailed and interesting game world and fun progression system that regularly goes on sale for 10 dollars. Its probably the worst fallout game, but that's still pretty good compared to most games.

The gunplay and artstyle are good, but the map design is atrociously unintuitive and over-complicated. The game quickly devolves into an incredibly tedious key hunt. Do not buy this game unless you were one of the few that loved hunting down all the little hidden switches in hexen without a walkthrough in order to progress.
