without a doubt the best Sonic game SEGA has ever released. the soundtrack is awesome, the story is the best out of any Sonic game, all three playstyles are fun to play as. the speed stages are very fast paced and, in my opinion, a vast improvement over Sonic's stages in the first Sonic Adventure. the treasure hunting stages are WAY BETTER than the Knuckles stages from SA1. the mechs do control slightly worse than Gamma in SA1, but the level design is much better since the game isn't held back by multiple characters having to play the same zones. this game is also the introduction to both Shadow and Rouge. also the first, and only time Dr Eggman has been playable in a mainline Sonic game (not including spinoffs). this game has hours of replay value thanks to the emblems and Chao Garden. the ranking system is also really fun and you will most likely find yourself replaying stages to try to receive an A rank on them. the battle mode is honestly some of the most fun I have ever had playing a video game. this is honestly one of my favourite games of all time and I fully recommend you give it a try.
