The story behind it, even more so once you get to the end, makes me hate how crappy game developers have had it over the last couple of years. And you should get this game for the story (or the fun title) more so than the gameplay itself. It does Match-3 in some fun ways. It does visual novels in some pretty normal ways. It somehow gets both of those to work with a quasi-metrovania thing that works but is hard to describe.

The game does lack polish. It doesn't seem to run "smooth" when going back to old screens and trying to do different paths, even at max speed settings. The gameplay itself and the "build options" via leveling and items are extremely barebones.

I recommend this game. It is "pretty good" and made me feel similar-ish to how I felt when I played Pony Island or similar super-meta games.

Excellent JRPG. The game play loop is done expertly, the difficulty balance is either easy or manageable depending on your settings, the grind doesn't exist (unless you want it to), the graphics are solid, the sound and music is even better, plus it has enough quality of life features that it doesn't feel like a relic from the 90s.

If you're into JRPG, you're gonna be into Persona 5.

Wonderful Colony Sim / Visual Novel / Strategy Game that lets you experience the joy of being an AI in a crumbling world. Lots of options on how to move forward, extremely responsive dev team, a UI that is hard to get at first but then extremely useful and fast once learned. This is my favorite of the Arcen Games library.

Solid game. The graphics in the screenshots and trailers are honest, the music fits the setting and doesn't get in the way, the day sequence plays like a version of Persona while being different enough, and the dungeons feel Zelda-like enough while being unique. The magic system keeps the four different zones feeling different enough as well as makes the controls not too hard to learn.

The game does drag a bit near the end but it isn't too bad. The itemization is boring and how you play doesn't change much throughout the game. The power curve is a bit exponential, so expect to breeze through the end of the game compared to the beginning and middle.

If you're looking for a pretty good game that you can play in bite sized pieces for a week or two (or looking to finish a game all the way in a weekend), I fully recommend Dungeons of Hinterberg.

Its like Shapez, but in 3D, sensible splitting and merging, and just an improvement all around. Highly recommend if you somehow want a lower stress version of a stressful factory game.

Interesting take on what being a game could be. Neat to setup your area. Music fits well as background noise as you finally do those TODO items you've been pushing off donig.

Excellent Roguelite. Plenty of progression between runs, runs last for a pretty good length of time, and while random might prevent you from your desired optimal build you usually can still have a chance per run regardless.
