It's really unfortunate. It did not occur to me that a game that is clearly designed with the controls of classic 8 & 16-bit platformers in mind, still doesn't have gamepad functionality. Especcially given the successful console versions.

For many people, this isn't an issue. I, however, have been unable to enjoy playing this game with a keyboard and mouse. Several third-party solutions later, and I still found the experience highly frustrating. I spent hours trying to get into it, but I never managed to transcend the controls.

Which is a shame; there's a genuinely lovely game here.

If such things do not bother you, then there's a lot to like about Terreria. As it stands, however, I cannot in good faith say that I enjoyed my time with the game.
