Just beat the main campaign, haven't even toucvhed Gauntlet mode which I hear is great and tomorrow ill start the new DLC campaign
A great little mix of the South Parks RPG games' style wandering around a world and challenging people to battles. Excellent writing of the kids and solving every problem with power pets battles or candy. Love all the unique mechanics like creating your own cards (though its unfortunate that you only get to do them once at least in the campaign) and adding stickers to change stats.
The only major gripes I have are the obvious which is that the game is 95% fetch quests. Honestly, the writing and gameplay usually keep it interesting, but they are still just endless fetch quests. Otherwise, coming from much more refined card games like Slay The Spire, Hearthstone, Monster Train, etc. the actual execution of the card playing feels just a bit off. Basically, if an animation is playing, you literally cant do anything else, not even read a card. It's very annoying, but its obviously pretty minor.
Great game, look forward to it hopefully getting more content in the future.

Absolutely insane how good it is for a free fan made game.

Truly competes with (and arguably bests) Bethesda's own offerings and (if it were legally allowed to) could easily be its own full priced game. I 100% intend to buy some of SureAI's merchandise now that I have beaten the game both to support them and to show my love for this fantastic project.

This is a VR port that could easily be accomplished with a free mod.
Don't get me wrong, seeing skyrim in VR is very cool and its really awesome seeing these familiar landscapes with proper scale, but thats literally all there is.
There is no added interactivity, the only new mechanic is locomotion, Everything is done through the exact same menus as every other skyrim port, there are no proper combat physics. Basically, it'll feel neat for five minutes if you use magic or a bow, anything else and you'll immediately realize how lazy a port this is.

This is an interesting review to write. Short of a few rentals I never played the original console B4BB back in the day, as I played much more of the totally different PC release which I have immense nostalgia for. That being said, I have a lot of nostalgia for similar games of the time such as the licensed Dreamworks games. This is all to say that I'm going in relatively unsulied by past experiences with the game to really know whats happening.

I'm gonna start with the bad, just because if we're being honest its why you're here. First noteworthy issue, the game has some pretty common issues among eh PC releases. It launches SteamVR on startup if you have a headset plugged in. I once had my framerate cut in half because I got a steam message and it only recovered after I restarted the game. It has some audio balancing issues. Nothing too major, just kinda annoying. Then you get to the game itself. The biggest cons of the game itself are the pretty awful hit detection on certain things, a few voices being changed (strange story, for some reason the original game didnt use the actual voice actor for Mr. Krabs and this game just kinda decided to reuse that instead of re-recording them. Same with another character or two.), and just a sort of feeling of cheapness to it. it's hard to describe, but it just doesn't feel like it has the love poured into it that more recent efforts like Crash and Spyro have. Everything just feels very cheaply redone. It kinda feels like a really really really good fan remake, not what you'd expect as the official release.
All that out of the way, the game is a great time. Yes sometimes you'll get very annoyed at bad hit detection or cheap animation, but the rest of it is just a ton of nostalgic fun. It's still awesome to get to explore Bikini Bottom and remember the moments from all the episodes. The gameplay is pretty fine. Its just a good licensed game, nothing to really berate or praise, it very much relies on being based on a fantastic license to carry it to success.

Look, I've wanted to play this game for a long time and have come close to buying it many times. Finally got it free on both Amazon and Humble. I really want to love this game. Its super charming, the environments are adorable, but... the controls are so horribly explained and underdeveloped. I'm a huge fan of hard to control games. I've 100%ed I Am Bread and truly consider that game to be amazing. It has difficult controls that are easy to learn quickly and then its just a matter of figuring out strategies. In this game, they never take the time to properly explain the controls and then immediately dump you into scenarios that expect you to start building strategies around these controls that you don't understand and are incredibly obtuse. I tried my best to enjoy this game, but it just isnt very good and the fact that its been out for three years and is still at this level of quality isn't terribly promising. Maybe we'll get a sequel one day that'll tighten everything up a bit and be a true classic, but for now this is just a cute failed experiment.

An excellent deck building card game that takes elements from many different sources to combine into one amazingly varied experience. If you love Slay The Spire, you'll love this. If you love(d) Hearthstone, you'll love this. If you love Artifact, you'll love this. This game is truly amazing in terms of just how much content you can get out of what really doesn't appear to be that much. There doesnt appear to be any ludicrous number of cards for each group, but since every run you pick one main and one ally there are so many combinations that it doesn't get old at all. That isn't even to mention all the different mechanics that each group uses. One is an extremely defensive healer, one is a balls to the wall warrior, one is a strange sort of shaman, one literally eats tiny units to gain new powers, its crazy how varied this game is. As much as Slay The Spire is truly one of my favorite games of all time and is polished to an incredible shine, this game blows it out of the water in terms of content (and thus variety).

Absolutely brilliant game. Really hope it takes off. My only major complaint is that it's pretty easy for a match to turn into a very long stalemate. Matches typically take less than 10 minutes, but I've had some stalemates go like 40 and it gets real tiring.

Much more than a simple match three (or four in this case), this game exudes the same energy as games such as Slay The Spire.
It is an excellent game that has much more depth than is initially presented (though nowhere near as much strategic depth as Slay The Spire or as much content depth as Isaac).
The biggest complaint I have about the game is that the obscurity of Edmund McMillen's game design simply doesn't work very well for a strategic deck builder. This meaning that when something in Isaac isn't apparent it isn't a big deal. However, in a game where you are supposed to perfectly plan your every move it simply doesn't fit to have such ambiguous descriptions.

Early Access Review
Excellent rogue lite with really cool physics and chemistry simulation on every pixel.

The game is also unbelievably deep. The sheer quantity of stuff that an average player would never think about or see is unreal.
