Fun game, I really enjoy the theme. It can be a bit buggy at times, and the lag-hiding leaves a bit to be desired, but overall it's very enjoyable. The permanent-death mechanic when your team dies makes for a really intense game, and even the "peaceful" times are filled with heightened tension as you feel it's quiet... too quiet.

It's really not as bad as you might think, considering the hardcore setup. You lose your hunter permanently when you die, yes, but I've gone through like 100 hunters by now. It's more like playing a battle royale game and if you win then your character gets to go onto the next match with a couple of minor benefits. Don't get me wrong, the perks can make a big difference, but it's not like the difference between lvl 80 and lvl 5 in something like Path of Exile or WoW or something,

It has some of the best sound-design I've heard in a game. Sounds are directional and change based on distance. You have to listen to where you're hearing gunshots, footsteps, and melee fighting noises. Makes for a very immersive experience.

Overall, excellent game, slightly marred by minor bugs and lag issues. 8/10

When it works, it's absolutely awesome - it's so fun to be able to play literally any boardgame online, and the tactile feeling of picking up and moving the pieces is great. It's been a huge boon during the lockdowns.

However, it's also janky af. The thing is constantly running a full physics simulation - which is really cool but also means that pieces are often getting knocked over - victory markers moving off their positions etc. (just like real life, I suppose).

The bugs are the worst part, though. When assets don't load in properly for all the players or that kind of thing. Mileage may vary depending on the game.

Also, the UI is half intuitive but half really complicated and takes some getting used to.

--- No-Spoiler review ---

Very cool puzzle game. Its puzzles are more about exploring the world and discovering clues than in solving difficult problems, making it relatively easy. This is actually quite an achievement for what is essentially a point-and-click adventure! If you recall some of the older point and click adventures had random nonsense you couldn't figure out. This one is logical at least! A+

To give an idea of length, I completed it in 11 hours, that was taking my time, exploring, but also not being a completionist and wanting to find every single unlockable. So the decent content in other words. The experience is varied and does not feel too padded out - I rarely found myself getting bored.

The music is very catchy, themed to each sequence / area and timed to suit exactly when significant events in the game occur.

Decent writing and a quirky, highly varied, and detail-rich game world round off an altogether enjoyable experience.

9/10 would recommend.

It's pretty fun. There are a lot of champions to choose from (although at any one time you're limited to the small selection that are either free-to-play or which you've bought).

The cards and upgrade systems add a lot of variety to the way that you can play any particular champ, meaning they can feel very different (a low-health champ can become quite a self-healer with the right setup).

The champs are easy enough to play, the aiming is relatively forgiving, and overall they feel good.

Plus the game is free!

I tried getting into Dwarf Fortress and it was just a little bit too complicated and clunky for me. This hits that sweet spot.

If you have a PC you can ABSOLUTELY WRECK little kids playing on their Nintendo Switches.

Best game to come back to any time I'm feeling bad about myself or my gaming skills.

I don't think I've ever been more disappointed by a game. It seemed so promising and I even watched some let's plays which seemed fun! But the multiplayer is just so buggy that it's not worth it.

I played with a friend. A few times the lag was just too bad to be bearable (to be fair, we were on different continents, but still). At some point she got lost on the planet and had no way of getting back to the main base, and I had no way of finding her. The beacons do not reach up into the sky far enough to be useful when you're more than a small distance away. We spent an hour searching for each other before just giving up. Honestly, there are so many easy ways to fix this common and simple problem.

This is only the worst of numerous problems we experienced. The main gameplay was very grindy. Our clients got out of sync as far as the location of objects was concerned. It's very non-obvious which resources need to be collected to do what, and I don't like the fact that I was forced to consult the Wiki. The main resource required to build a truck is only available on a planet other than the starting planet - and we wanted one just to speed up the collection of research a little bit. Building a spaceship is easier than building a truck - not intuitive to say the least.

Overall, I really _want_ to like this game, it shows so much promise and I wish I could play the slightly-modified amazing version of it. But in this form the multiplayer is unfortunately just an awful experience. And since multiplayer was the only reason I purchased it, my review is a strong NO.

This game is just frustrating and I don't find it particularly fun. The controls are clunky; too often the character does something obviously wrong, and it's non-obvious how to get them to do the right thing. The acting and storyline doesn't exactly save it - this is all about the mechanics.

I've tried to get into it a few times, but I just don't enjoy it. Compared to completing Getting Over It, twice, I don't consider Mirror's Edge a fun kind of frustrating.

Pros:
- Beautiful world and gorgeous pixel graphics.
- Real sense of exploration and discovery.
- The game tries as far as possible to be a game without UI or text, and succeeds to a surprisingly large extent. Worth playing just for the sheer originality in implementation.
- More content than you would expect: I still discovered new things on the fourth play-through
- Really makes you FEEL like a Kingdom Two Crowns.
- Overall, actually quite fun and enjoyable.
- Very satisfying to get back at the Gnoblins (i.e., The Greed) and show them What For!

Cons:
- Multiplayer is really buggy: save and exit, then rejoin, player 2 has lost all inventory (including GEMS!), go to next island, player 2 has lost all inventory (INCLUDING GEMS!!!). Also other multiplayer bugs.
- It can be very obscure sometimes - the Wiki helps. But you can easily make permanent mistakes like chopping down the wrong trees which eliminates your vagrant camps too early. What the heck does this do?
- No way to cancel an order after you've made it (chopped down the wrong tree, too bad! Workers heading out after dark and being slayed by knoblins (i.e., the Greed), TOO BAD! Committed all your troops to inner towers and have nothing to man the outskirts of your base? Whoopsie! Guess they're there permanently!)
- Banker is hard to bank with: when you drop the coins, sometimes the farmers, workers, or archers kind of steal it from you, and sometimes he gives you money back when you're trying to bank it. A bit hard to explain, but you'll definitely see when you play it.
- WHY THE HECK CAN'T I JUST BANK GEMS WITH THE MYSTERIOUS CLOAKED FIGURE WITHOUT UPGRADING THE BASE?! The price in gold is enough to dissuade you in the beginning, and having to try to skip over the chests every time to leave them there so the Noblins can't steal them permanently is just annoying!
- Very questionable game choices: such as winter, where you can do almost nothing. Honestly, game would be improved 100% with removal or improvement of winter. It's SO boring.

Overall, really great game game! Original, fun, and a truly beautiful aesthetic with minimal UI to distract you. Single player is mostly great with a few hiccoughs. Multiplayer is a little more buggy but still worth playing. Would definitely recommend, 7/10.
