Important: 2K has pushed an update that installs the 2K Launcher and makes it necessary to launch BioShock: Infinite. Here's a steam guide to disable it completely (it works for the rest of the BioShock franchise too): https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2859537953

BioShock: Infinite took everything that we knew from the previous games, threw them out of the window, and introduced us to a new world with new combat mechanics while keeping the plasmids that we knew and loved as "Vigors."

The floating city of Columbia, packed with the well-written story of Booker DeWitt's motive to rescue Elizabeth, makes up for an immersive single-player story-driven shooter. The plasmids have been replaced with "Vigors." They follow the same logic as the plasmids from the original BioShock, but with their own twists that make them stand out.

BioShock: Infinite is a reflection of what race relations in the U.S. were like in 1912. BioShock: Infinite often showcases racism, xenophobia, and extremism, as well as the ways religion can manipulate the public into buying into a single point of view, and so on.

Should you purchase BioShock: Infninite? The answer is yes. There's no other game that mixes FPS mechanics, the outstanding atmosphere of 1912 with its steampunk city-state known as Columbia, and the well-written story of Booker DeWitt and Elizabeth.

BioShock: Infinite gets a 10/10 score from me. I would definitely recommend anyone who hasn't played the game to give it a try, and maybe they will enjoy the rest of the BioShock franchise as I did as well.
