enjoyable mix of strategy and calm periods.

vampire survivors/brotato + inventory tetris. it's a really good balance of simple and complicated.

I give it a 4 out of 5. if you want to spam particle effects to kills large numbers of enemies for loot that makes the killing of enemies easier it's good. not great. but then it's also new, and hasn't had the time to build the piles of content and system interactions that would make a game great.

For the price (joke) it's worth it to give it a shot.

One of the better torchlight entries, and one of the better arpg entries.

straight forward reasonable sem-rts.

terraria base game is quite fun, and if you were so inclined you could dunk 60+ hours of a mixture of gather materials and fighting bosses, probably a 25 75 split between bosses and material gathering.

if you go all in on mods you could easily go into the hundreds of hours and have a good time doing it.

the recent update with journey mode drops more than 80% of the probable grind, so if you don't like grind then you can use that and thoroughly enjoy yourself.

Large variety of builds to try, and the game is difficult that you need to think about what you're doing.

shame the multiplayer is empty.

Everything is straight forward enough that you can learn it without a guide if you want, and complicated enough you can enjoy learning it.

Or just dump out a pile of minions and watch things die, or make a walking steel brick and take a pleasant stroll through enemies and laugh as they kill themselves on your forehead.

between mods and variety of play styles you'll get a good amount of actual fun out of it. some things feel padded, but there's a mod for that.

If you like RTS, and have the room in your head for complicated systems this is a great game. It is difficult enough that if you aren't good at the game you'll get crushed.

Very well designed and thought out presentation of some chess variants of standard sudoku.
