I don't really get the enthusiasm around this game. It's definitely around combat, but this combat is not particularly interesting and not much else is in this game. A lot of grinding and not that much development (at least within the part that I experienced before I got bored)

Very nice metroidvania game. MUCH better than its predecessor - Ori and Blind Forest. When I was playing Blind Forest I've got a few complaints about it and literally all of them have been addressed in this sequel. One complaint is that combat is still not as satisfying as it could be as it is kinda trivialized by the OP regenerating charm and mindless tanking enemies just works, even for bosses. For me not as great as Hollow Knight, but definitely worth a go
A-tier game for me.

It's a good logic game, though it is not a masterpiece imho. Key mechanic seems more fun than it actually is and I felt it did not allow for many creative puzzles (or at least, was not used in many). Main fun of this game was getting anticubes for me, there are some satisfying puzzles connected to them, though I was not a fan of repeating exactly the same puzzles multiple times. Getting all anticubes is very hard, but not ridiculous yet. What is beyond ridiculous is the very end game content, just go look that up on the Internet.
Exploration is fun, but navigating through that world is quite painful.
Also, there are some bugs, there were a few times when I needed to restart the game. Also, I got all anticubes, but I believe there are two of them that I have no memory of collecting (definitely I did not solve puzzles associated to them and I really doubt I got them by accident either).
B tier game for me

I guess it's ok. Some cool tricks with the perspective. Tries to play with your mind kinda like Antichamber. But other first person puzzle games (Portals, Antichamber, Witness and Talos) have spoken more to me. Also, it's very short, though I'm not sure if I would have the will to play this for 15 hours

A very good precision platformer. The game is good at ramping up the difficulty creating enjoyable experience for the player as long as they follow the intended order of playing (i.e. don't play B-sides before completing the main story etc.). It also has a good bit of fun with exploration and puzzles in order to get all the berries and crystal hearts. Good for both players that like to move on to other games quickly after completing the main story and for completionists as well - it could deliver between 10 to 70 hours of enjoyable experience depending on how dedicated you are (or much more if you are a truly hardcore player or into modding) and feel an accomplishment whatever point you decide to stop at. Story is rather meh to me, but this is definitely not the most important thing about this game. Highly recommended

That is the worst escape/puzzle game I've ever played. It is super tedious constant cooperation of type "describe me what you see in the greatest details" all the time. Demo version ("We Were Here") was more varied, but the main version was very monotonous.
We lost patience on one stage and decided to cheat by sending each others screens and once I needed around 10 seconds to even notice a difference between two objects that we were supposed to differentiate by talking only.

A few friends have enthusiastically recommended this game to me, but for me it was super boring - sorry. Also, there is some high randomness included - some runs I had quite overpowered deck from the start, others I got some complete sh&* and couldn't really do a thing about it and playing with it felt like dragging a dead body

It is a good game, I can recommend it to platformers lovers.
But this game had a bad luck that I played it shortly after playing Hollow Knight, which annihilates it in every aspect. Cuphead is basically only boss fights and is heavily focused on dodging bullet hells and not that much on dealing the damage itself with its long range and sometimes even auto-aiming weapons, so even the combat was not that rewarding and interesting as in HK, while the combat is only just a part of HK.
Not a big fan of Cuphead's soundtrack, but the animation style is a big advantage
It is known for its notoriously high difficulty, but I think that is exaggerated. Whole playthrough takes about 10 hours on average and hardest fights are gonna be not much more than an hour, which does not sound that bad, does it? Even getting all 28 achievements was not that big of a deal (25 hours in total for me). However if you want to S-rank everything... Well, good luck, that's indeed a big challenge

Very good game from a not that popular genre nowadays - 2D platformers. Game is very satisfying both from the standpoint of exploration (as the world is huge and there is very little hand holding giving the player freedom on what to explore) and the actual combat with bosses (especially the late game content is very demanding). Unfortunately even after multiple playthroughs, lore is far from clear to me. Highly recommended

Another masterpiece. If you liked Portal, The Talos Principle or especially Antichamber - you will love this one. There is a chance this game may appear as either confusing or boring during first hours, but once you get past that, it only gets better with the time. And remember that getting the achievement "Finished" is only the beginning of the road
