It's a great game but the port has aged terribly. Please patch this 2k I beg you

fun game, great mechanics, amazing soundtrack and visuals. only thing hold it back is the navigation is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful.

This game is the definition of tough love. Save scum and speech check your way through the hardest parts, but aside from that, it is a "blast" ahahaha

this game goes so hard for literally no reason

A perfect example of the phrase "If it ain't broke don't fix it". In making this "sequel" the devs made so many needless changes they ended up actively take away from gameplay, rather than enhancing it. Overwatch had it's flaws don't get me wrong, but the it was extremely rewarding for the time spent. The medal system rewarded you based on performance, the casual rank border system rewarded you for playing quick play only, which I prefer to Comp due to its low stress environment and the end voting screen rewarded players who worked throughout the game to either carry or assist their time. In short, it was fun and really made you FEEL like you were kicking ass when it came to it. In this "sequel" NONE of those features are present AT ALL. Gone is the casual rank system, the medals, end screen, coins and any 6v6 modes. But this is FAR from the sole problem. The removal of casual borders also means that the skill level in matches is never conveyed. You could be dueling with a person who has literally just bought the game, or someone who has 1k+ hours, and be none literally none the wiser. I am aware that comp ranks still exist, but im not a comp fan, its too stressful for the kinda gig i want from a game like this, so i really want to feel like the time i put into this game was worth it. Removing this whole system was an awful idea, and makes one of the CORE modes unsatisfying and pointless.

The 6v6 game mode was a great idea because it gave you multiple tanks to contend with, which allowed for some amazingly fun tank combos such as Hammond+Winston or D.va + Reinhardt. With the 5v5 system, singular tanks are reduced to nothing more than bullet sponges, as they are now the primary target of any match. To compensate for this, the devs gave them increased health, which actually creates more problems than it fixes, as its next to impossible to 1v1 a tank now, which was possible with DPS in 1. Singular tank play also forces players to rely onlyon shield based tanks, like Rein or D.va, whilst more risque heros like Doomfist or Hammond are unplayable, because you can't rely on a second tank to cover your team whilst doing damage. Overwatch 1 rewarded experimentation in all fields with its 6v6 structure. Overwatch 2 does not.

Now I'm a massive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weirdo who actually gives a ♥♥♥♥ about the characters and world Blizzard created for this game. I love how quirky, charming yet somehow serious the characters are, and their visual designs are stunning, Hammond/Wrecking Ball and Junkrat being my favourites due to how ridiculous yet fun they are to play. Why do I mention this? Well it's because the characters/animated shorts had me HYPED for the PVE mode. A chance to get some stories? See some interactions? Increase gameplay repeatability? Ger invested in the world all over again? Count me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in. But I should've known better, because Blizzard CANCELLED the mode completely, and what they managed to scrap together from it's remains they are CHARGING YOU ACTUAL MONEY FOR. You have to pay 15 POUNDS/DOLLARS for THREE LOASY MISSIONS WITH NO REPLAYABILITY? ARE YOU ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ KIDDING ME BLIZZARD YOU ♥♥♥♥♥. The loot box system was bad in Overwatch, but, once I payed me £60 up front for this game I didn't have to pay money for anything else. I grinded all the nice cosmetics and hero stuff, and that was actually FUN and REWARDING. The battle pass system blizzard introduced for this game is ANTI-FUN, because most of the contents in it are LOCKED BEHIND A PAYWALL.

Here comes the part where I say TF2 is better and you should go and play that, and I will, BUT, I can still see the shadow of what this game used to be shining through SOMETIMES. It makes me genuinely sad that a game I loved and spent an ENTIRE YEAR playing. A game that got me through Covid isolation. A game that I spent HOURS grinding at so I could get amazing at, has been turned into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PREDATORY PHONE GAME SIMULATOR BY Bobby ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and the Sex offenders at blizzard in order to make quick money off an IP they had good will for. ♥♥♥♥ you blizzard. I was willing to have good will but no more.

The only way to save this game from Blizzard is to buy the dev team and make them independent from Blizzard. Blizzard is a blood sucking parasite that is draining the life of this game for no other reason than MONEY. This game is everything wrong with modern gaming. Do NOT support it. End.
