TL;DR: "...it was worth it..." A funny, interactive, high-resolution p.o.v. video! Worked perfect on Ubuntu Linux. If you have played Dragon's Lair in the arcade, then you know what to expect for gameplay. You will have about a half hour of laughs here (some toilet humor), but unfortunately a portion of that time is watching the same slow death scenes over and over, until you can get the correct button mashing. That said, you will probably be ready to be done with everything this game has to offer, by the end of that half hour, anyway.

Just realize that you are spending your bucks for a short video experience, so you will not be disappointed. There are more cost effective ways to spend your hard earned cash, but this is probably one of the more unusual ways to do spend your leisure time. This game delivered on what I expected after looking at the steam store page.

Great music and all text is wonderfully voice acted. Enjoyed on ubuntu 16.04 with radeon mesa graphic drivers. A++ would conspire against the power company again!

Some people saying this is too short, but it kept me entertained for about four hours. And the level of entertainment was a lot more than I typically expect from point-and-click.

I highly recommend trying Chapter One. I played it through to the end, with pleasure.

Reminded me of the python skit about the Argument Clinic. It is a quick game about choosing your words just so carefully to construct a technically correct - but usually nonsensical - sentence, but more about choosing words that your opponent would be able to use against you. It is a bit of a let down that the language is not more natural, but natural language is a hard thing to do. We are a long way from speaking into our computers and having them evaluate our insult's effectiveness. Anyway, lots of love went into the details, with references to python, lovecraft, and more nerd-lore. The game has a very nice tutorial with an excellent voice-actor leading you through the training.

For a couple bucks, you won't be too disappointed, either way, but there is also the Oh... Sir!! Prototype on steam, so you can see the gameplay for free.

Valley is an amazing, beautiful gaming experience. This is just one of the best games - the best first-person game - that I have ever played. The level design is perfect: it is the outdoors exploration sim that I have been craving. The gameplay is awesome - use your powers to improve life around you (imagine!) You are managing your environment to enrich and not to destroy, but not in a dull preachy way. It is just part of the excellent gameplay that makes you feel part of the environment as you are also moving through it. In the second half of the game, there is more typically FPS shooting, but the game rarely focuses on it.

How to relay the feel of the gameplay... here is an example: you are in the wooded trail that leads down to a river, you run full speed down the hill, with the motion blurring happening and there is a sound of air rushing past you, so you leap into the air - over the river - and down into some photorealistic trees that are swaying in the wind, with a crunch that can almost make you feel the impact, and a plume of dust rises around you.

That is one of the many just-so-happens moments that this game gives you, just moving from place to place. I am not even going to try explaining the really special things that Valley delivers. And it gives a bunch of cool ideas.

I must also note that Valley has a known issue of crashing during level loading. That said, it does save all player pickups, but level progress saves only happen at the start of a new level. Generally, this means running through an empty level again. This happened two or three times through my campaign. Otherwise, I had no other issues playing on Ubuntu Linux 16.04 with radeon drivers, even with a very old graphic card.

Valley is challenging and compelling. I keep looking forward to coming back for the worldbuilding, the story, the level design, and everything else. And I bought this at such a huge discount that I feel like I robbed the developers. This is one of the very few games that I have picked up on Steam that I would have really been completely satisfied to pay the full price. I just cannot say enough about how thrilled I am at getting a chance to play Valley.

Fun game of tower defense, although not the most innovative. It has some neat extras, such as unlockable traps, and a trap levelling progression. Beat previous levels with added difficulty and gain more experience, which makes future levels easier. All that said, this is truly a TOWER DEFENSE GAME with all the feel of placing towers and zapping the horde of marching toward the door. Don't expect the game play to go much farther than the original gameplay. In fact, it feels like less than the original, because most of the equipment is unlocked through grinding levels. Many hours are spent with the same scant few towers being used over and over, while you try to beat more advanced levels for typical equipment. Yet, for the low cost, there is plenty to like here, and I have spent many hours working out better strategies for the levels, but I also wish it was delivering more of the later game play a bit sooner.

I have always had a mischevious spot for dungeon traps, and I had this crazy book in my RPG days filled with all sorts of clever traps for killing characters. This game scratches that itch to a degree, but I kind of wish it hit the mark with a bit more oomph. I think the designers should have realized that there was a lot more fun pushing a mob down a bottomless pit than shooting it a million times with an arrow trap. Ah well!

Very interesting logic puzzle game. Worked well on Ubuntu Linux 16.04 (one small video glitch). If you like algorithmic thinking challenges, then you will probably adore SpaceChem. You will learn about chemistry, but this is not exactly realistic chemistry, since SpaceChem molecules are made by connected each atom to another atom, but it is an interesting workflow process game. I thought the gameplay, the tutorials, and the story were all interesting. I am not sure that the music was much of anything, but it was a nice touch, I suppose. I had it all muted within minutes. I did find the game too difficult mid-game, and the setting up of the engine took too long to experiment with different ideas. Overall, I felt like I got a whole lot more than I expected from SpaceChem. You can try out a game demo, and see what you think. I look forward to trying all of the other games that this developer has created.

Fun game. I had a problem with the video mode in ubuntu linux 16.04.3 / radeon, and the developer was so quick to come up with an answer. Controller works perfectly, including re-connecting. Gameplay is hard but fair. You will memorize the entire level, by the time you finish it. There are multiple approaches, and your timing does not have to be perfect. Noise and enemy visual range make sense. Very true to the spirit of Thief and other quality sneakers. Story actually was a lot better than expected. Recommended, but only if you are looking for a real challenge.

Very different take on the role playing game genre. Has a dark, weird fiction vibe, that stays true to the style. I like what I am seeing here, and I am excited to explore more. Slow but intelligent gaming.

Early Access Review
It should not be this frustrating to collect resources and build basic structures.
The FIRST day should be fun. I took the time to learn the user interface, but setting up the town is still painful. It is just a slog to get the basic resource collection set up.
I have been trying to wait for the improvements, but this is probably as good as it is going to get.

Well, that was five bucks down the drain.
I am a Douglas Adams reader, and yes, I got the joke.
