Wrestling (as a business conducted by Vince McMahon's WWE) is a disgusting exploitation of human labour. Lots of wrestlers actually lost their lives (e.g. Chris Benoit (aged 40), Perro Aguayo Jr. (aged 35), Test (aged 33), Reid Flair (aged 25)) and/or had their health destroyed (e.g. Lex Luger, Roddy Piper, Bret Hart). I can't deny that it's got entertainment value and I'm having fun playing this game (ever since I first played SmackDown! 2 on the PlayStation/PSOne, it's basically the same game).

This is not a flight sim, nor a puzzle game. This is an unintuitive 6DOF walking simulator with collectibles. If you're into that kind of stuff (I'm generally not) - go for it. Otherwise, save your money. It gets my thumb up, because it's a cool idea (too bad that the way it's executed doesn't offer much fun).

This is the only guide that helped me fix the constant crashing on Windows 10: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2736073328

I like cheesy games with a polish, and this one is of that kind. It was fun for me, unlike CoD:MW2 (a fair comparison, IMHO).

"His name was Jeremiah Johnson, and they say he wanted to be a mountain man. The story goes that he was a man of proper wit and adventurous spirit, suited to the mountains. Nobody knows where abouts he come from and don't seem to matter much. He was a young man and ghosty stories about the tall hills didn't scare him none. He was looking for a Hawken gun, .50 caliber or better. He settled for a .30, but damn, it was a genuine Hawken, and you couldn't go no better. Bought him a good horse, and traps, and other truck that went with being a mountain man, and said good-bye to whatever life was down there below." / 1o

Thanks for the Hawken rifle, I guess. Being able to one-shot at least something (other than a rabbit) in this game without having to "follow blood trails" makes it somewhat enjoyable. And don't get me started on the "but it's meant to be realistic this way" folly, because it's not. I know skulls are hard objects difficult to penetrate, but the immediate consequences of ~117 Joules (.22LR with 2.6 grams of mass and a velocity of 300 m/s, which is purposefully a great underestimation of the typical performance of .22LR*) transferred to your (or a deer's) head should be considered and modeled adequately. A shot in the head is indeed survivable, yeah, but, you are (or a deer is) likely lying/twitching helpless right there on the spot.

* But let's also say that it would probably be a ~117 Joules** when the projectile reaches your head, because the muzzle energy will typically be much higher. Muzzle energy calculation = 1/2 * mass * (velocity squared).

** Let me also give you a perspective = an airsoft handgun with ~1 Joule can give you a small non-lethal internal haemorrhage (reddish/blueish blemishes on your skin). Yes, although non-lethal for non-haemophiliacs, it is still a bodily damage.

Also, people from the US/GB, please, forgive me, but I feel violated when I use Imperial units.

EDIT: This rifle is useless if you want to make "ethical" hunting of medium game, because of its caliber. This information is not revealed to you, until you see yourself systematically failing the harvest check. The animal's class is within the rifle's capabilities? Doesn't matter, you won't pass the harvest check. Make sure you're familiar with the charts (section "Rifle integrity") in this guide, if you want to mark some progress with the quests:

The exact same game, but, somehow, five times more expensive / o.

EDIT (November 1st, 2024):

If you want the 100% non-butchered version of this game, you must pay 153,35€. It is a Halloween sale right now, which means this is the price at "a discount". This is a massive spit in your consumer face and a fat middle finger to any kind of decency. Rebellion should be sued.

Early Access Review
It's the same gameplay as Space Station 13 ( https://spacestation13.com ) with a different setting. It's a cool idea, but I'm sad that it's 2D (it takes away a major part of my immersive experience; and I know Unfortunate Spacemen exists, but its gameplay focus is PvP).

Complex, hard, and moddable / 1o.

Call me pretentious, but I don't generally like superhero stories/plots/tropes*.

Did it crash? Yes. Is it grindy? Yes. Did I have fun? Yes. Is it cheap? Yes. Do I prefer to watch "Batman: Mask of of the Phantasm" instead of playing through it once more? Yes.

*Causing permanent disabilities (including brain injuries) to someone (because that's the realistic consequence of fighting the I'm-a-childhood-damaged-rich-boy-my-personal-slave-was-in-MI6-but-I'm-also-a-black-leather-fetishist-with-a-hard-on-for-absolutely-unjust-justice-and-constant-delusion-of-infallibility-and-righteousness) instead of killing him/her is sometimes the worse "there's always a choice"-choice.

It's got Mark Hamill and a cool main theme / 1o.

Thanks for the few of hours of sandboxy fun. Despite being 2D only, I appreciate the effort. Knowing myself, I won't be coming back though.

Cool little PvP game for a simple relax after some intense Tarkov 5#1T. If you don't have a hard-on for predators and pew-pew, then you'll probably not find it cool enough and I totally get it.

And the music is licensed, yay! And the sound design is epic (of course!).

The CIA got me pushing too many pencils / 1o.
