One of the best turn based RPG games in decades, and it was made by a small team of only 30ish devs. Square enix better take notes.

Gameplay
☑ Very good
  • The gameplay feels smoother, and you have more control than you did in the remake.

  • They added Synergy skills that take no ATb gauge to use, and synergy abilities that require you to build up enough synergy bars with your party members before you can use them.

  • Understanding the pressure and stagger mechanics, taking advantage of enemy weaknesses, and countering enemies is still very important in rebirth's gameplay.

Exploration
- Feels tedious and repetitive after a couple regions if you are 100%ing the game.
  • You will have 7 regions to explore, and the kind of content that you do in each region will start to feel repetitive. You will need to find towers, summon caves, minigame locations, side quests, and random chests that will mostly just have junk inside it. There's a few rare chests that you can find with weapons, and some common accessory's, and you will pretty much be doing this for every region. The reason why it can feel repetitive is because of the recycled towers and summon caves. the minigames are also kind of boring, you'll likely only be playing those minigame once for 100% completition purposes and than most likely never touch them again if you were to ever revisit the game once you complete it for the first time.

Grind
  • You will only need to grind for maxing materia and that is it. Max character level is very easy and quick to reach.

Story
☑ Good

How long to 100% the game
  • 100-200+ Hours

Bugs
  • No issues

Final Score
9 / 10

The game could be so much better, but I gave it a generous 9/10 because the game is pretty massive with you needing 100-200+ hours just to 100% it. if you are looking for a JRPG game that has a lot to do to 100% the game, fun and challenging boss fights, especially when you enter hard mode and need to complete the secret VR challenges, and you liked FF7 remakes original playstyle, then I would recommend this game to you.

This DLC is what the original Elden ring should have been like in terms of difficulty. Elden Ring is such a large game that it needs to have enemies scaling to your level or the bosses end up becoming too easy to defeat as you progress throughout the game. I’m enjoying this DLC a lot.

The DLC actually made me realize that my old build was not going to be sufficient anymore and I had to make a new build and it also forced me to strategize better for each boss fight encounter which I never felt like I ever needed to do in vanilla Elden Ring. I now have a build that is very powerful and works extremely well to get through this DLC without any problems.

Great work by the team behind this DLC and thank you for all the hard work and giving us an expansion that was clearly made with lots of care just like the full vanilla version of the game was.

Fun game but it requires a lot of team work to play it properly so to get the best experience playing this game you'll need to play with friends or find people on discord that are willing to work together with you. If you don't have friends to play with than discord is a good place to meet new people and possibly make friends with them.

The Games fun but it’s also broken beyond all repair. Devs take forever to try and fix important issues in the game and when they do finally fix something…more things get broken in that same patch. I won’t be buying another game from these developers.

After putting 0.1 hours into a demo that isn't released yet I can officially review this game and here are the pros and cons of the demo:

PROS:
- Got to pre-load the demo

CONS:
- Can't get past the network connection screen

Do I recommend this demo? Absolutely. Being able to pre-load the demo that isn't out yet far out weighs the con of not being able to get past the network connection screen.

This is a good game but you need to wait for a few patches before it gets more optimised. I rated this review positive because I like the game and once they patch it up it will be an even better experience. Hate to see CD Projekt red release the game early but I think the pressure got to them because people were sick of all the delays. This is why it's important to keep delaying until you are 100% confident in the product you want to put out. There's no way they were 100% confident in this product on release.

Capcom is doing these remakes right! This game, a long with resident evil 2 are worth every penny. if you enjoyed the classic version of this game than you'll enjoy this remake because it is a modern version of what old school resident evil would look and play like today. My hope is that they make their future games like this and stay away from making them like RE 5 and 6. I strongly recommend that you give this game a shot even if you have to wait for a sale.

edit: I played this game offline so my playtime isn't accurate but I have beat this game and enjoyed every second of it. You can verify by looking at my profile and seeing my achievements.
