This game is not your typical DragonBall game. Rather than being a fighting game like the Budokai series, it is more similar to Monster Hunter or God Eater. You gain experience after each mission. The story is unlike other DragonBall games as it focuses on a new character, YOU! You get to pick your race, skills and clothes and later on you get even more choice. While you can boost your abilities across many areas, it usually helps to specialise in one or two. While there were server troubles initially most of these have been fixed. One downside is that the default DragonBall characters are generic and boring in comparison with your custom characters, but they are still fun to play as. Online play seems good and you can take part in 3-player co-op. A very enjoyable game.

Shockingly good value for money. I feel out of all the co-operative games on Steam, this is the one where if you fail to co-ordinate then it makes things very difficult. Whether your character is stealthy, gung-ho or a mix, you can still play your part and help the team. There are tons of unlockables and while the scenarios are preset, there is a lot of randomness and difficulty options to make each heist different. Voice communication helps a lot when planning synchronised actions and the variation and customisation of masks and guns makes this a long-term investment. Great fun when a heist goes well and provides a real adrenaline rush from start to end.

This game is quite simply one of the best co-op FPS games of the last few years. While there is tons of DLC, there is also a lot of choice for players. The variations of guns makes you want to keep coming back just to see what another tug of the slot machine handle will bring. It's great with friends and has some laugh-out-loud moments. One of my top 10 games of all time.

I'm a newbie to the Space Hulk series, having only played a short section of the original DOS game. There are several great things about this game. Firstly it's based on a board game, a very tactical one at that. You have two completely different factions at war. The slow-moving gun-toting Terminators and the vicious Genestealers. The main campaign is composed of a series of missions, each one with different objectives. There are many classes of Terminators which serve to spice up the gameplay such as the melee-crazed ones and those with a flamethrower.

The drawbacks are mainly with regards to animation, there are a few clipping issues and generally it doesn't hold up with games such as XCom or Fallout. Graphics are servicable but won't really require a lot of processing power, on the other hand of course it will run on decent laptops. I bought this while it was on a sale and if you like the concept, it may be worth picking up.

While Shadow of Mordor is compared with Assassin's Creed and Batman Arkham, it is very much it's own game in how the mechanics work and evolve over time. At first you're simply killing the Uruk Captains but later you learn new abilities to terrify multiple Uruks and handle crowds of enemies better. The second half of the game is where it opens up as you get the Brand ability which allows you to control Uruk Captains. It suddenly then starts to play out like a mature game of Pokemon where you're raising up your captain and making sure he wins all his encounters.

That's not to say that you don't do some more killing after you get that. Some wild animals cannot be controlled and you don't get to instantly mount a Caragor or Graug until you master the preceding abilities. The ability tree is linear in some respects but is spread wide so you can choose what to focus on. You can spend points to upgrade your health, focus, arrows and the number of slots on your weapons. The weapon slots are important as you can engrave it with the runes you get from finishing off the Uruks. The stronger the Uruk you fight against, the better chances of a good rune. Performing a Death Threat on a Captain will also raise their level and grants a higher chance for an Epic Rune (runes with special abilities not restricted by percentage).

With the exception of a few boss enemies and preset captains, all of the Uruk Captains and Warchiefs are randomised. This means that every encounter is different as you try to figure out what your rival is weak against. Some Uruks are immune to certain moves which causes you to change your tactics to adapt to their fighting style. The story missions do a good job at fleshing out the universe and focussing on a few seldom known facts. Overall this is a game I really enjoyed playing as the Nemesis system completely rejuvinates the third-person action genre. We need more innovative games like this that aren't afraid to push the boundaries and explore new territories.

While the DLC is optional they are also worth picking up in their own right, particularly the Lord of the Hunt DLC.

Much more than a typical tower defense game. The third person action matches up nicely with the traditional TD vibe. The array of traps is astounding and brings back fond memories of Dungeon Keeper and Temco's Deception series (especially Trapt). The skulls awarded for each level keep you playing and the amount of content to unlock is staggering. It's brilliant in co-op too!

I really wanted Survival Instinct to be good but sadly there are points where this game doesn't stand up to it's Telltale Games equivalent.

The story, while containing a few branching missions ultimately is linear and very little changes throughout your playthrough. The characters that are present are relatively compelling, particularly Daryl himself and his brother Merle (although Merle is absent for a fair portion of the game and is not playable). I felt drawn into the world the survivors lived in but there wasn't enough time or care taken to make it stand out. The game has an abrupt ending which really hits a low note and seems like a wasted opportunity. Forcing you to miss out missions on your first playthrough only makes the game shorter and denies the player the opportunity to accomplish everything in one run.

The walkers themselves behave realistically although their AI is a bit dim sometimes (banging on the wrong side of fences and other perculiarities). They are dangerous in packs but can be taken out one by one, you should do this silently.

The maps are alright but they do tend to repeat and there are no good setpieces like the Prison or Woodbury (this is a prequel). Graphics can depend on whether you play it on a PC or console but there was room for improvement. I play with a 360 pad but using the mouse may be problematic.

Overall you should not get this game unless you are a die-hard Walking Dead fan who absolutely loves Daryl Dixon and wants to experience life from his eyes. I felt immersed when I played this game and there was an empathy with the main character... but really you could get the same from Skyrim. Don't buy this for more than £7

Simulator games have been quite niche traditionally, but Euro Truck Simulator 2 changes that. Sure it has the realism of Sim titles but there are actually more complexities than that, such as having a squad of drivers which participate in missions of their own. You'll also expand your empire and level up, granting you access to more risky and lengthy routes. There's something theraputic about driving along while listening to a podcast. Well worth a shot if you like the sound of the concept

Brilliant anime game, contains a large number of characters and a decent amount of modes including online battles. The story mode starts from the Five Kage Summit and ends just before the conclusion of the Fourth Ninja War. There is also a bonus scenario included which is Revived Itachi and Sasuke confronting Orochimaru's subordinate. While it does require a pretty good PC to run (good Dual Core + mid-range graphics card) it is very fun and if you're a fan of the Naruto franchise almost a must-have.

A masterpiece of modern RPG gaming. If you liked Morrowind and Fallout 3 / New Vegas you will enjoy this a lot. It perfectly paints a picture of a vibrant world. The quests themselves are compelling and will keep you guessing right until their conclusion. Feel free to roam around the countryside hunting dragons and mining til your pockets are full!
