[EVO]RDX Grifter-IR Class Multirole Corvette [1-Slot]

Description
In partnership with the [LAC] Legion Aerospace Corporation, EVO jumpworks proudly present the REDUX starter series.
________________________________________________________________________________

So named because as the professional con-artist soon reveals, looks can be decieving. The Grifter Class Multirole Corvette packs more punch and features into its 1.4kilo tons than should ever be considered possible within the galaxy we exist.

This is the quintessential space craft for the budding space cadet no matter what job takes their fancy:

Mining: with nearly 500mw of free power in reserve the Grifter can handle a full day of roid carnage with ease and mount ANY sub-system upgrade that takes your fancy.

Hauling: with a cargo hold capable of shifting over 728 units this ship defies the engineering restrictions that its dynamics should limit.

Combat: with maximised roll, pitch and yaw rates and optimized for extreme levels of thrust and agility the ship is capable of getting behind your enemy and strafing their hull while their guns flail trying to achieve a lock. The speed and precision afforded by the multitude of thrusters and finely tuned gyro's on this ship will surprise even the most seasoned of combat pilots.

EVO jumpworks offers the Grifter in 2 seperate variants:

[EVO]RDX Grifter-IR Class Multirole Corvette
[EVO]RDX Grifter-TI Class Multirole Corvette

The IR variant is 100% iron construction and despite the limitations caused by using the lower quality material and having to rely on solar power, it boasts nearly 500mw of free power and a top speed of 160 m/s

After far far too long I have made a return to Avorion and despite intending on writing this ship off to the abyss I just couldn't do it.

As such I have slightly resized the ship, merged cargo and rebuilt the main cargo hold in the centre.

This required more core power for the ship to be sustainable so the front armor plate has solar panels behind it.

This cost a small amount of cargo space but the armor thickness from the original design has been maintained.

The TI variant should not suffer these issues thanks to the benefit of power generators.

any news on how to fix the cargo problem ? (merging all the block give 0.4 cargo capacity XD

btw very nice ship

I had the same thing happen. I guess they finally fixed the exploit lol. I had incorporated it into all my ships and needless to say I was surprised to see that all my shhips had no cargo space. I guess it's back to the drawing board unless there is a workaround.

No I do not think you did anything wrong - they finally fixed it :)

I will get this fixed ASAP Spoony.

Ok so i love the look of the ship but for some reason when i spawn it the cargo holds are all tiny blocks not merged and refuseto merge together and the ship has no cargo space. Maybe I did something wrong but I wish I could get this to work.

VERY NICE, i like that your ships always look nice but aren't overly complicated

you can scale mine a few times i actually was surprised as hell to see how much viability it holds by doing a 1.5x scale or 2x scale and upgrading materials ... i found that once you got to the tri/nao stage that was the time to actually look at an all new ship.

I have 3 major projects currently set to private that are nearly ready for public consumption including tri and nao variants of the Grifter so that you just have to select it and pay.
