WM07 Beginner class Personal Transport

Mod/Scenario - None (Vanilla)


The seventh in my Wimpomania line-of-ships is the Mk IIIb Beginner class Personal Transport. This single-person warp-capable general purpose craft will allow you to explore, travel, fight, move stuff, and - once a Laser Drill is added - mine, as early as level 12.
The Beginner class has two pod connection points (one on the port and one on the starboard of the habitation area) that is compatible with the "Biginner Pods", and comes with two Fixed Weapons Pods pre-attached, which themselves have rockets, missiles and gatling guns installed.






Outer Doors - Automatic (on Motion Sensors).
Inner Doors - The door leading from the Foyairlock (the airlock that is also a foyer) into the Passage, and the door leading from the passage into the cockpit, are both automatic (on Motion Sensors), all others are manual.
Ramps - Automatic (on same Motion Sensors as Outer Doors).

T3 CPU Extensions plus the blocks above them in the Engine Compartment can be replaced with T4 CPU; the Shield (a.k.a. Polarised Hull Shield) Slot is in the ceiling of the Foyairlock (the airlock that is also a foyer); the blocks under the chin in between the 2 Gatling Guns can be replaced with a Laser Drill (or another weapon).



- NOTE - any Mini Fridges on board come turned off by default to save power until food is inside needing to be kept cold, and can only be turned off manually (or by turning off all power to the vehicle) from the fridge's own UI to limit instances of food being accidentally spoiled.

- (Brief) HISTORY - The first Beginner class - the Mark I, if you will - was actually built in Starmade, which (like Minecraft) has a block size of 1m x 1m x 1m. The Mk II was built in Space Engineers, which (like Empyrion) has a "small grid" block size of .5m x .5m x .5m. The Mk III was then built in Empyrion, making this updated version then the Mk IIIb, and is about the same size (1:1) as the original, unlike the Starter class, which shares the origin and is a block-for-block recreation.
