Master Chief Voice (Steve Downes) for Nick

Description
Replaces Nick's dialogue for the Chief's. Audio is from Halo Reach, Halo-CE, Halo 3 and Halo 4.
My first mod

1. To use the voice you will first have to download GCFscape so you can open the vpk. file.

2. then look for L4D2 in steam/steamapps/common/Left4Dead2 click on the file inside the main directory that says "Left4Dead2" it will be above Left4Dead2_dlc1 after that go to addons then workshop and find the mod there should be a picture of Chief that is titled with the same numbers as the mod.

3. After you locate the mod you'll right click it and choose to open it with GCFscape it will open the vpk. file and have the audio inside.

4.Next back out of workshop and addons and you will see a file named sound, click it then click player then survivor then voice and lastly gambler, make a backup folder inside the gambler folder to put Nick's audio in. After you move all his dialogue into the backup folder drag and drop Master Chief's Audio files where Nick's files were.

5.Start the game and wait for addons to load next press the "~" key if it doesn't work go to options "keyboard and Mouse" and enable developer console after that open the dev console and type "snd_rebuildaudiocahe" and press enter it will bring up a loading screen, after its done loading the dev console will come up again this time type "exit"

6.Start the game up again and the Chief's voice will have replaced Nick's i'd recommend getting Halo 5-Master Chief by Neverstops557 if you don't already have it.

After typing in snd_rebuildaudiocahe, the game attempts a loading screen and crashes.

While I appreciate the effort, to go through such a long process without having any videos just doesn't seem that worth it to me.

Solution: After the snd_rebuildaudiocache, make sure it loads all the way from that "joining a match" thing, thing use the "exit" command. Then start a game up, and Master Chief's in game voice won't be deep. Because just exiting out of the game without letting it load all the way and not letting it respond will make him end up having the deep voice instead of normal pitch.

I'm having almost the same problem as MasterLink2117. The voice in game is definitely too deep.

Other authors have found a way to make character voice packs without this long process. No offence, but that alone is enough to make me pass completely.

you should make this for one of the l4d1 survivors

I did everything you said to but he just sounded deep and distorted and I honestly thought it was a boomer at that point. So what do I do? Also, The command says "unknown command"
