Description
Mod/Scenario - None (Vanilla)


The thirteenth in my "First Run Hover Vehicles" series, the HoverIntruder is a T2 CPU Corridor Assault vehicle that can enter the (larger - i.e. 2x2x2) corridors of a hostile base to help clear the structure of enemy personnel and is targeted at the Military Ground Units, Civilian Security Forces, Civilian Militia and Civilian Mercenary Groups markets.
The HoverIntruder is armed with three Gatling Turrets (although these are only automated while above ground) and three Gatling Guns, plus a 3,234 SU Ammo Container for holding the vehicle's 15mm rounds. It also comes equipped with: a mini fridge; a medic station; an O² station with a single oxygen tank; and a small cargo box. It also has a Wi-Fi and a detector.
For propulsion, it has four hover engines, a hover booster, two small thrusters for forward movement plus 1 small in all other directions, and an RCS to provide pitch, roll and yaw. It's power generation consists of a small generator with one large and two small fuel tanks.
- NOTE - any Mini Fridges on board come turned off by default.
- NOTE - an LCD Projector has been added to the vehicle's cab since the screenshots were taken, and so the CPU will have increased by 1 and the materials cost will have increased slightly too.





Construction:
Body = Hardened Steel and Container Extensions.
Deck Plating/Floor = N/A (No "walkable" interior)
Armour = None.
Power Save:
Turning the 'Power Save' custom signal on turns the following devices off:
Wi-Fi; Holoprojection "Device & Signal Toggles" Info Screen.

So... story time with Wimp:
My friends and I on our SMP server before the game was released enjoyed raiding the Abandoned Mine whenever it regenerated, sometimes together. Right at the bottom of the base is a large room with a large (non-functional) excavator and 3 marked out tunnels that have yet to be dug.
Well, the middle of these un-dug tunnels has 1 block of stone missing from the middle, which prompted one of us to place an Explosive Device there. *BOOM* Slightly bigger hole. After a while of just blowing out a straight tunnel just for the shizzle, it was decided to start "blowing" the tunnel upwards to reach the surface. I happened to be in the HoverSpeeder at the time, and... well... you know what boys are like for sticking things in holes to see if they fit - The HoverSpeeder slid in nicely (giggty) all the way to the bottom (although I then had to reverse out because it's length (giggity) stopped it from traversing the bend at the end of the downward slope, but after making the hole bigger (GIGGITY) to accept my length and girt... bloody hell... innuendo alert... you get the idea).
So driving that HoverSpeeder down the blown out tunnel to that excavator room spawned the idea to have a small vehicle that would fit down the tunnel and would have turrets on the front for killing all the "Nightmares" (nka Abominations & Horrors).
