Description
What is this mod?
This mod started as a toned-down, prototype of my Empyreal Ascension mod as a means of testing the baseline framework. However, I figured it would be a good idea to put it up as a variant for anyone who wanted their leaders to be genuinely immortal without relying on Leader Age extensions, and not have all of the bonuses that come with Empyreal Ascension.

Features
  • A single civic is available to non-Gestalt empires at empire creation.
  • The civic will not appear on empires randomly generated by the game.
  • Leaders of empires with this civic have a random chance on each level up to recieve a Timeless leader trait tailored to their leader class.
  • A leader's chance to recieve a Timeless trait increases every level up to level 7 and then falls off sharply.
  • Once a leader recieves a Timeless trait they cannot recieve another.
  • The bonuses on the civic and traits are intended to be roughly equivalent to Vanilla amounts.

Compatability
This mod shouldn't conflict with any other mods.

Quick update to game version. Unless they change something under the hood it should be pretty safe to use across updates.

Though I'm a bit worried about the new launcher system messing something up to be honest.

Does the ruler of your empire get the timeless ruler trait from the get-go or do they gain it through leveling up like the others?

Possibly? I haven't really looked into how ascension perks work, but they're probably at least structurally similar to civics I would imagine.

The trait event itself would just require changing 'has_valid_civic' to 'has_ascension_perk' I think.

Updated to 2.0.2
Did some tweaking to modifier amounts to bring them closer to Vanilla levels, and traded out a couple modifiers as well.
