EDIT: I have better idea, why not make torches always burn, but after time set in this mod, torches loss like 50-80% of their luminescence ...so it would look like they are on edge of burning out and would tempt player to replace them - then depending on mod ver that Author could make, upon removing from map they would either refresh or dissapear in inventory.
So best of both worlds. Somewhat realistic, but don't break dungeons or gameplay.
It would be smarter if any torch placed by player get this function, but be unafected otherwise.
