Description

POLARIS SPACE INDUSTRIES UMS MINING TURRET

HV mining turret made specifically for the 'UMS' mining ship.

Can be docked on the front of UMS and used for mining.

Mining turrets will work even when docked onto a CV - so you can land on top of a deposit and mine! CV just can't be moved while people are on the turret.

Oxygenized - so safe mining on hostile planets!

DOCKING: Spawn both on a flat surface, use external view and back into the nose of UMS. Keep the height bit under 1m. When you can't go further, balance it out and raise the hover height until docked. Docking pads are meant to go under the small glass windows on the side. You can now turn off thrusters & RCS and I will also recommend not using the cockpit (marked blue) while mining - so you won't accidentally undock from the UMS!

NOTE: Turrets will not reach to the bottom of the deposits. If you want to dig out entire deposits, need to finish by hand or mining HV.

Of course, no problem! With my 'pirate faction',I re-use a lot of stuff other people have made so I make sure the original creator knows.

Dunno if you're still active or not, but I'm new to EGS and created something bare-bones from an in-game asset named "Abandoned Mining Refinery" or something like that, only after uploading it did I see you were the original creator so thought I'd link it here!

I thought it'd look good as a small destroyed starship shipyard, fighter-sized craft being made in the upper and lower towers, with landing pad and solar panel arrays where the tubes are. I might refine it, but wanted to give thanks to your hard work and will also edit the description to give credit to you, since I literally did nothing but copy, rotate, and paste.
