Description
OBO, pronounced "oboe" (yes, like the instrument), stands for "Overall Balance Overhaul."

This is a script that upgrades the Silenced SMG with inspiration from the real-world MAC-11. Before I get into specifics for this weapon, the concept of Tier 1 weapons must be addressed. In vanilla, the starting missions only had Tier 1 weapons, but the difficulty remained roughly the same throughout. As any L4D veteren would attest, running into a Tank sucks on harder difficulties when your team doesn't have Tier 2 firepower. Thus, I made a series of mods to rebalance and upgrade the weak weapons in the game to be able to at least contend with their Tier 2 counterparts, thus increasing the viable weapon options. This is one such script. You can find the others on the workshop in the collections above.

While my OBO Uzi SMG got a fire rate nerf, this one got a fire rate increase that turns it into a bullet hose, with the real-world fire rate of 20RPS (vanilla was 16RPS). This is now a low-damage, high-DPS, skill-based weapon. Controlling your bursts depending on the target will be important. Tanks can take a full spray, but note that Commons that have been shot enough to die can still body-block bullets, necessitating switching targets if the situation demands.

This, along with all the other smaller edits I've made, gives this weapon a distinct identity rather than being a clone of the Uzi SMG. I hope you enjoy.

Right now, my only goal is to update and polish my mods, specifically, the mods of mine that I personally use. I need to get this game's balance nailed down first, similar to my newer OBO mods that came out after my old and neglected L4D2 mods. If I can achieve a good, healthy balance, that's good by itself but I also then have a baseline to work with for updating all my other mods, or potentially creating new ones.
I'll be honest, I may never make new scripts, or even update my old ones, but one thing that needs to happen is these "Director's Cut" mods will be brought up to the same degree of quality as my other OBO mods. Thank you, and sorry for the word wall. :)

I've got a question, I've noticed that the vanilla SMGs Don't gib the zombies but your script makes this possible, what did you do to make it like this?

Don't mean to whine.. but i kinda miss how this was before... you know before the super fast firerate...... any chance you could reupload that?
