TEMPORARILY BROKEN -- Manual Ore Crusher -- Double Ore Output

Description
*** UPDATE Nov 25, 2017: Fully working in 0.6 ***

Hi all!

Surprise! Real, live, in-game, animated crafting -- With effects! Deepflame has written a script to allow us to do real interactive crafting, and he asked me to put together a model for the script.

So we present you, the Ore Crusher!

This crusher takes regular iron, copper, or tin ore, and then crushes it into ground ore, doubling the amount of ingots you can smelt from your ore. Every 5 ore you put into the crusher gives 10 ground ore out. Take the bag of ground ore to the furnace and smelt into ingots just like usual!

Notice that there is no crafting menu. The crafting is done by the script. All you have to do is add regular ore, go to the crank and HOLD the 'F' key (or your custom hotkey if you made one), and then watch it produce bags of ground ore.

This mod has been tested in single-player and multi-player, and works perfectly in both!

This is hopefully just the first in a whole new wave of immersive, in-game crafting activities. We hope you enjoy this, and that it adds a nice new dimension to your worlds. Happy Engineering.

If you could make this with an NPC and an ore storage crate... you put ore in the crate, NPC grinds it.

Would make a nice visual addition to the world, adding life.

So what actually broke in the mod... I might be willing to add it to my list of To Be Fixed....

I’ve put it out there a few times to see if any other modder wants to pick it up. So far no takers. Especially with the new fancy vanilla stamper, no one wants to put the time in to make a manual version. I can’t blame them.

Is there any intention to either update this mod, or pass the torch to another modder?

Are you going to update this mod for the 0.7 update?

Adding a few extra crafting tables and crafting batches of small stones on them should make it go hassle-free.

I was gonna ask for a stone crusher varient but I just saw your post below ..guess I'll have to figure something else out because converting all this stone is driving me crazy

Oh interesting. First I had heard of this conflict, thanks for letting me know!

I found the issue. This mod and its mechanical version have a small issue with the Trading post mod. It can be fixed by placing the post mod BELOW these mods in the mod order. You need to take out and replace the crusher head in the crushers before they will work again.

Hey there, i was wondering if this mod is broken? ive got it installed and i built one here in survival, i placed a stack of tin ore into the crusher and stood there holding my action key on the handle while it made sounds for about 1:30, Nothing happened. no crushed ore.
