This is a fork of Riders mod. This mod is kept up to date. This mod is compatible with the latest version of SE. This mod does not use or rely on any scripts. This mod likely functions with your shield mods. This mod provides destruction, disorder, and chaos. My favorite.

WeaponCore is absolutely terrified of these guns, so much so that it will try to remove them from your game. If you want to terrorize WeaponCore, you will have to put it in Unsupported Mode by following the directions that appear on screen when you load in. These guns will function as intended, but they will have no WeaponCore related features.

I will maintain this mod as a backup only. Tweaks will not be made. Nothing will change unless it's to keep the guns firing.



About

This mod maintains the original weapon values of Riders mod circa 2017 including damage* and accuracy. These are the differences between this mod and Riders mod:
  • The code of this mod has been overhauled to conform to the standards of the current base game.
  • The accuracy on the Little David and Big Bertha are back to normal, with a deviation of 0.1 instead of 0.5
  • The 300mm and 900mm guns still have AP ammo available. This ammo was removed by Rider because of a reloading issue after having one type of ammo in a gun, and then switching to the other type of ammo.
  • All missile weapons missile velocities reduced to 400m/s to reduce the chance of a projectile "skipping" through the first layer of blocks upon impact.
  • Big Bertha ammo volume decreased to allow the gun to be loaded in survival mode.
  • The damage values and accuracy (1+km for LD, BB) of these weapons may be considered "extremely f*cking overpowered"**

*Little David and Big Bertha damage has been increased because projectile velocity had to be reduced.

The following are known shortcomings:
  1. Small ship missile turrets cannot be autonomously loaded
    • Explanation: They can't be auto-loaded because they use small conveyors and missiles use only large conveyors. Missile ammunition in this case is a definition borrowed from the base game; there's no way to make it move through small ship small conveyors. If you have to use this mods small ship missile launchers, load them manually. This applies only to small ship missile turrets in survival mode.
  2. 300mm and 900mm guns won't load ammo.
    • Explanation: There are 2 types of ammo: HE and AP. If a gun won't load, it's 99% because you've loaded one type of ammunition, and now you're trying to load the other type. Rider removed AP ammo from the original mod because this is an unsolvable KEEN bug; there's nothing to be done. The other 1% = bug elsewhere.

History

There was no response.

In September 2017, I uploaded this mod and posted the following in the description:

Since 2018, Riders mod has experienced difficulties as the base game has been updated. I will continue to maintain this iteration as tribute, but it is and should always be considered a backup.

@人族狙击手 He and I have never spoken: he hasn't told me to fuck off, so I assume he's OK with me maintaining his mod. As for changing his mod, I honestly don't know, and if he's not accepting friend requests for DMs, then there's nothing I can do to help. :steamsad:

I only used models of some weapons.

The new MOD will not have compatibility issues with any other version.

The new MOD has modified some bugs caused by updates.

Thank you so much for keeping this fantastic weapon mod alive. I've been playing with it for a few hours and so far the only issue I found was that the Little David has no firing sound and only destroys the single block that it hits. No explosion, nothing.
