Chicken Walker Mech (WASD controls)

Description
This is a bipedal mech programmed to be controlled using the WASD keys to move and the mouse to look around and aim. It is similar in size and shape to an AT-ST from Star Wars and many other similar vehicles from other works of science fiction.

This build does not use any mods and is survival ready. However it is arguably not practical enough for use in survival.

Operating instructions:

When you first enter the cockpit press 9 to trigger the program that governs the behavior of the legs. After that it can be controlled with a standard WASD setup:

W: forward
S: reverse
A: turn left
D: turn Right

You can turn while walking with a combination of keys. The turret is controlled with the mouse thanks to Whip’s Mouse Aimed Rotor Turret Script: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=944915802

Capabilities and limitations:

Its speed is somewhere between 3 and 4 meters per second which is slightly slower than a space engineers walking speed.

This mech is fully capable of walking in the gravity of a planet or in a zero-g environment.

It only works well on flat terrain. Even when walking on perfectly flat terrain the feet occasionally break against the ground. This can be avoided by playing with block destruction turned off but that would deprive you the opportunity of blowing stuff up with its rocket launchers.

The bug preventing this from working on voxels has been fixed however now the feet of the walker consistently brake when walking on voxels. I will see is I can fix this if when I have the time. If you want to try it on voxels now you can revert the game to version 1.181 in the betas tab of the Space Engineers properties window in Steam.

Go for it Helratz. As long as you're not trying to pass off my work as your own I have no problem with it.

Unfortunately I never got around to making that update to get it working on voxels again.

@Mechatronist I am currently working on a series of Subnautica themed builds. I am considering building the Prawn suit. Would it be okay for me to use your custom script and this blueprint to reverse engineer what you've done and apply it to my build? If yes ,do you have an updated version as mentioned below in the comments? Thanks.

My ultimate goal is scaling mountains but it may take awhile to get there.

At the moment I'm working on another biped but I may eventually make a tripedal walker.
