With the introduction of bolt throwers, weapons now have varied firing modes. I took to opportunity to create a canister shot round for the empire great cannons, Flaming arrows for bretonnians and Explosive shot for the Dwarf Cannons. They all fire from a common Ammo pool, just like the elven bolt throwers.

Empire: Canister Shot
Launching 30 projectiles that do 25AP, 25 regular and 25 bonus vs Infantry, canister shot turns the cannon from lackluster anti large artillery from long range to musket range destroyer of enemy lines. Turn your cannons on orcs, ratmen and other animals with devastating results after you are done sniping the enemy lord and monstrous cavalry. Just remember. This is warhammer. A whiff of canister shot might not be as devastating as it was in previous titles.

Dwarfs: Explosive Shot
Masters of artillery, dwarfs are capable of using explosives to devastating effects against enemy formations. This shot type functions like the explosive shot in previous titles, replacing accuracy and bouncing shells with more devastation when striking the enemy lines.

Bretonnians: Flaming arrows.
Bretonnians are quite capable of igniting missiles and firing them en masse at the enemy to cause flaming damage. This mode does more regular damage but reduced AP damage and is of course flammable.

Wood elves: Starfire arrows, Swiftshiver arrows and hagbane Arrows
A much more elegant solution than the three unit types solution that CA used in the first game.
Glade guard now can switch between arrows on the fly and make up the backbone of your armies.
Glade Riders can choose between switftshiver and hagbane arrows.
Deepwood scouts can switch between their different arrow types.

Great mod. Doesn't need an update. Works fine even though it's outdated.

Hi Tankbuster nice mod here. Ive been doing similar thing giving basic Bret longbowmen Firearrows as a secondary shot type )and removing the firearrow longbow varient unit) to streamline the roster

Question for you do you know how to make the AI use these secondary ammo options in battles,?so far they seem to stick with the default ammo/
