Hi Tankbuster nice mod here. Ive been doing similar thing giving basic Bret longbowmen Firearrows as a secondary shot type )and removing the firearrow longbow varient unit) to streamline the roster

Question for you do you know how to make the AI use these secondary ammo options in battles,?so far they seem to stick with the default ammo/

Deep wood scouts have not icon to chage from arro type. I tried stripping out all my mods too. Still the same

Same. Mod causes crashing because it's a whole new game version. from 1.2.0 to 1.3.0. The Bretonians got some changes too.

Hmm, it would be nice to have 1 set of archers (for bretonnia) to use both arrows. Don't know why CA made 3 sets however.

Oh wow, this should have been in the 1st game! But question, since you've added the ammo types, does that mean did you remove like for an example the peasant bowmen that shoots fire arrows unit and the one that shoots pox arrows?

@Pit_fiend - yeah i saw that. I also replied to it. It is kinda what i want but the increased dmaage and range isnt, as they were strong already. Just wanted the options of different arrow types.

could you add a multibolt setting like the eagle bolt thrower has to the dwarven bolt thrower, even if it is balanced with reduced range? It feels like an underwhelming unit

i am working on a High Elves AP Arrows mod, its based on your mod but i cant get it to work.

i am using your mod atm as a template for armor piercing arrows, why do you have hef_dragon abilities in the mod? What was your intention for putting _kv_unit_ability_scaling_rules_tables in it?

I managed to add the icons by overriding the standard ones with ones I got from a previous total war title.

Haha nice yeah i'll try use that as a template. Really nice way of doing it. I used unit abilities in Warhammer 1 to change the shot type but having issues getting that working atm.

Yeah, I think you can do that.
If you notice, I gave flaming shot to bretonnian archers. You can do the same for handgunners. Make them shoot fireballs if you wanted to.

Okie dokie cheers. I wonder if theres a way to resolve this. I guess I could adopt this to add grapeshot to empire handgunners too? I think we can specify an image maybein the enums.

yeah, since CA didn't give icons for different shot types that is the default version. It works perfectly fine otherwise.
