Resistance Weapon Upgrades WotC

Description
Gives rewarded and purchased soldiers a chance to have a weapon upgrade already applied when they appear in the armory. WotC version of this mod.

Each soldier will only have a maximum of one upgrade. If XCOM has unlocked higher tier weapons for a soldier's class, the upgrade will be applied to the highest tier weapon unlocked. Classes with multiple primary weapon options such as Rangers will have it applied to whichever weapon they default to when they appear in the armory.

By default, eligible soldiers each have a 30% chance of having an upgrade, with basic upgrades being 3 times more likely and advanced upgrades being 2 times more likely to appear than superior upgrades. After running XCOM 2 with the latest version of Resistance Weapon Upgrades loaded, these values can be changed in the XComResistanceWeaponUpgrades.ini file located in your Documents\my games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Config folder. Alternatively, Mod Config Menu can be used to edit these options in-game.

The thematic goal of this mod is simply to give resistance soldiers that aren't part of XCOM the ability to duct-tape ADVENT weapon parts to their own weapons, since that doesn't seem like a particularly complicated task to me.

  • Confirmed to work with Grimy's Loot Mod and Weapon Upgrades Expanded
  • Overwrites the GiveRewardFn delegate for the 'Reward_Soldier' and 'Reward_Rookie' X2RewardTemplates
  • No class overrides

Possible Future Changes
  • Make the chance of a soldier having an upgrade increase with their rank

You can open/close the menu fine. The crash occurs when you next try to transition between strategy<>tactical

That's weird, I haven't had any crashes when I open the Mod Menu?

Can confirm this mod crashing for me when trying to open it's MCM config.
I am running LWotC.

Can confirm this mod causes the next 'load' to crash the game if you open the MCM menu.
This is because the MCM listener is used AS the settings page, which should be avoided.

class RWU_MCMListener extends UIScreenListener config(ResistanceWeaponUpgradesWotC) dependson(RWU_Utilities);

should be;
class RWU_MCMListener extends Object config(ResistanceWeaponUpgradesWotC) dependson(RWU_Utilities);

with a separate UIScreenListener to manage the MCM page load

This mod is causing guaranteed crashes if mod config menu is opened, if you open the mod config menu it will make the game crash in the next load. Maybe it was causing random crashes too.

I believe that's a feature of Grimy's Loot Mod, so you'd have to check there.

I've noticed MCM slows down when loading this the menu for this mod, which I think might be related to the color coded characters used for the different rarity levels. Is there any way to turn the color coding off?

Does this conflict with any other weapon attachment mods? When I went to the Mod Config Menu after adding Musashi's Weapon Attachment Slots mods, the only thing I could see was the chance to get an attachment, but none of the normal configuration stuff (like each specific attachment).

Ah cool, I just wanted to know if there's conflict or not. I don't care what upgrades they get.
