Pocket Dino (Discontinued)

Description
Mod ID = 1166226527

Sorry guys I can no longer support this mod as my computer and backup drives have been stolen, so I no longer have access to the source files

WARNING: There is a known issue where dinos will FAIL to spawn. I have attempted to use different ways to save/spawn the dinos to try and avoid this issues. But it does still occur, its unknown as to why this happens and unfortunately it most likely to related to ark and is something the devs need to fix (Other Pokeball type mods have the same issue with dinos failing to spawn)

Pocket Dino allows you to store your dinos as items, allowing you store them away or to summon them when in need of help. Or you could use it for trading dinos as who ever uses the item to release the dino will become the owner.

Simply use the Pocket Dino (Empty) item in your dino's inventory to turn it into an item, the new item "Pocket Dino (Full)" containing your dino will appear in the last owners inventory. This last owners thing means the person who put the Pocket Dino (Empty) into the dino's inventory.

Once a dino has been stored, the item containing the dino will be renamed and its description altered to show the dino it contains. For safety reasons it also stores the dino's inventory/saddles and restores once the dino is released. This could be easily abused, but i thought it would be better than having people complain that their items on their dino got deleted.

It only works on dinos that have been tamed and that are conscious. This is to stop it been used a Pokeball for instant tames and to stop people from stealing other player's dinos by knocking them out and using the item in its inventory.

Hello, I found a bug. When I use the beta version of "pocket dino", if I put the Argentine giant eagle equipped with a saddle into it and then release it, it will cause the icon of the saddle's construction function to be repeated. And whenever I repeat this set of actions, the icon will repeat a set, and finally I will not be able to open the backpack of the Argentine Giant Eagle, because I was forced to withdraw from the game. The above is from my translation software, it may not be accurate.

I just want to say that one of the great things about your mod is that its filesize is so small. I don't know of many mods for ARK that are entirely text (game code and scripts). I'm not actually the one who's a big fan of the mod itself-- I don't even really use it-- it's some of my friends on my best friend's ARK server who love & need this mod, if you can believe that.

I cant edit my comment, but the Dino Storage mod uses the .sav file for its dino data. Would that make the pocket dino mod more reliable if the dino data was stored there? This mod is just so convenient and we love it.

The Dino Station mod has poke balls and their mod never failed to spawn a dino, but their mod has an issue where it spawns a dino other than what you put in it making you lose the dino you actually placed in the ball. It does not always spawn the wrong ones, but it's enough to not use it for dino storage. We appreciate your efforts @Space [AWL]

The key might be linked it durablity since both the fish trap and cryopod use it, cryopod can also be uploaded/downloaded with stored dino's.

Have also checked the code for the cryopods, there is nothing in there to remove imprints

Not much trouble shooting you can do ingame, the dino information stored in the item is ether lost or client/server don't talk correctly so nothing happens. Everything was based on how the beehive works, the only real difference is that the class of the dino is not set to be a bee. Dino class is gotten from the stored dino data and it can save items/restore items.
