Description
OBOW: Pronounced "oboe" (yes, like the instrument), it stands for "Overseer's Balance Overhaul for Weapons".

This is a script that completely rebalances the SCAR Assault Rifle, making it work like real life. It now only has a standard 30-round STANAG magazine, but has had its other stats upgraded to maintain balance. For example, damage has been vastly raised for various reasons, one being so you'll still have a chance against Tanks with your smaller magazine. Piercing has been increased too, so that crowd-control is still doable. The only real issue you'll have is that you'll really need to be careful with your limited ammo, as a couple of misses or inefficiently-aimed shots can get you overwhelmed. All changes are listed below, for your convenience.

Here's the list of stat changes:

VerticalPunch - 1 to 1.15
SpreadPerShot - 0.6 to 1.025
MaxSpread - 25 to 20
SpreadDecay - 4 to 12.5
MinDuckingSpread - 0.05 to 0.4
MinStandingSpread - 0.35 to 0.5
MinInAirSpread - 1.25 to 0
MaxMovementSpread - 4 to 2.25
ReloadDuration - ? to 2.65 (Vanilla value unknown, since I had to add this line)
DeployDuration - ? to 0.4 (Vanilla value unknown, since I had to add this line)
PenetrationNumLayers - 2 to 3
PenetrationPower - 50 to 80
PenetrationMaxDistance - 0 to UNCHANGED
Damage - 44 to 67
Range - 3000 to 3500
RangeModifier - 0.97 to 0.8
GainRange - 1500 to 2000 (Range at which damage starts decreasing, falling off to zero)
Bullets - 1 to UNCHANGED
CycleTime - 0.07 to 0.1
clip_size - 60 to 30

The burst fire is hardcoded, so I actually can't change that. Changing the SCAR's fire rate doesn't even make the bursts fire faster or anything, only how fast each shot IN a burst fires, so it's overall fire rate is locked.

And some more accuracy too, then it would stand up to your realism m16 and AK scripts

What do you think of a version 2 of this mod but making it automatic? or 2rn burst (tho more for Auto) ? Idk if it was asked before or if its even possible :D

Yeah, that was intentional. I quite like the feel. I might make it a hair faster, but only very slightly, if at all.

Yea if you hold down the m1 it fires like its full auto well looks like its full auto

Is that what it looks like? Dang, I hadn't even considered that. I just wanted to slow it down a bit to make firing into a horde a little more feasible with the smaller magazine. Basically, I wanted you to be able to adjust your aim, wave it around and hit three different targets in a burst, and vanilla's fire rate is a tad too fast for that.

it is odd that the 3 round burst in my opinion i feel like you were trying to make this a fully auto with a rof of an vanilla ak but the 3 round forced you to fire the 3 rounds so it feels awkward when you release the firing button and your still firing the 2 shots but good job its good
