The burst fire is hardcoded, so I actually can't change that. Changing the SCAR's fire rate doesn't even make the bursts fire faster or anything, only how fast each shot IN a burst fires, so it's overall fire rate is locked.

What do you think of a version 2 of this mod but making it automatic? or 2rn burst (tho more for Auto) ? Idk if it was asked before or if its even possible :D

Yeah, that was intentional. I quite like the feel. I might make it a hair faster, but only very slightly, if at all.

Yea if you hold down the m1 it fires like its full auto well looks like its full auto

Is that what it looks like? Dang, I hadn't even considered that. I just wanted to slow it down a bit to make firing into a horde a little more feasible with the smaller magazine. Basically, I wanted you to be able to adjust your aim, wave it around and hit three different targets in a burst, and vanilla's fire rate is a tad too fast for that.

it is odd that the 3 round burst in my opinion i feel like you were trying to make this a fully auto with a rof of an vanilla ak but the 3 round forced you to fire the 3 rounds so it feels awkward when you release the firing button and your still firing the 2 shots but good job its good

Meant to say "That's extremely unsafe and very self-defeating as the whole purpose of 3RB in the first place was that soldiers were wasting too much ammunition with fully automatic fire.

There's two types of 3RB. Eugene-Stoner uses a wheel with two sets of 3 steps. If you only fire 1 shot on 3RB, you'll only fire two shots max the next trigger pull. Eugene-Stoner is a really bad 3RD method.

HK perfected 3RD. I cna't remember the specifics of how it works though. There's cutaway models you can view on youtube that demonstrate it.

I was unaware that 3-round bursts worked like that. I've seen some games that do it, and that's interesting. It makes sense, since a forced 3-round burst seems an odd limitation to put on an actual AR.

Come to think of it, even Call of Duty 4's M16 is a forced 3-round burst. (Wow, I said "3-round burst" a lot!)

I really like what you did with it but I hate how the three round burst works in this game.
one click = 3 bullets. That's now how three round burst works at all.
Three round burst only limts you to three bullets per trigger pull. It doesn't force you to fire three bullets.
Alas... I know it's simply how they coded it into the game and I know there's nothing you can do about it. I just find this weapon to be terrible with this script because when you're ready to stop shooting the gun ends up firing 2 extra bullets out and that really doesn't help when you only have a 30 round magazine.

Yes, it will. The reason for this is that scripts (like this mod) are loaded from the host's files. If you host a game and your friends join you, your scripts will load and not theirs, even if they don't have the mod you've got. Likewise, if you join any other server, including online servers, their scripts are the ones that'll load, not yours.

In short, the host's scripts will apply to all clients. Hope this helps. :)

Yeah, as far as I know, the M16A4 (current model) has a three-mode select fire system. And boy is it a beauty to look at! I love the picture I used for my M16 Rebalance script. Ooh... I'm a gun enthusiast, but I'm no boffin. Wikipedia has been my best friend for a lot of my scripts.

And thanks for the kind words! My scripts are done as a work of love, and I made them specifically to play with them myself. So it's really nice to hear when someone likes them. :)

yea i also realized this. the recent m16 I think available in three mode (im not gun expert tho).

I've heard some people believe doing that would be more realistic, but consider this. Modern M16 rifles aren't locked to burst fire. I think the last variant that worked like that was the old M16A2. And a SCAR-L has a firing mode selector switch built on it, so firing one in burst isn't all that weird.

I'm not saying others are wrong to think like that, since everyone is allowed to think how they think. I'm just saying all this so that you understand my reasoning. :)

No changes were made to the "swapping" of the guns. Both still function like they do in vanilla, just with a "realism" twist in the same spirit as the official Realism gametype.
