Cleaner Vampires

Description
Cleaner Vampires is my attempt at making vampires look a little bit less like monsters. This version requires Dawnguard to function properly, however if people want a non-Dawnguard version I might be persuaded to do so.

What it does:
This is not a graphics changer at all. It changes the VampireRaces. To get rid of the nasty distortions from sun burns etc, it removes the dirt filters from the races. To get rid of the nasty vampire looks, it uses the default texture for the race available.

That means that this likely will work with graphics changing mods just fine, but it will not work with custom races.

Note: I am not a graphic artist, I cannot make small detail changes to the textures because it is beyond my talent and interest.

While I find that behavior interesting, this mod changes nothing about magic, so I haven't the slightest clue why you're having a problem. The only noteworthy conflict I suspect this mod might have is with custom races -- If you're using a new race this mod effectively does nothing, since it only adjusts vanilla races. Similarly if you're using something that changes the VampireRaces that is an obvious conflict since that is what this mod does.

Granted I haven't played Skyrim in awhile, so it is also possible some patch somewhere broke the mod, but I don't find that very likely either to be honest, this isn't a balance patch type of thing.

Crashes as soon as you attempt to view the Magic screen after becoming a vampire (tested with both types of vampirism, and issue was resolved by removing only this mod).

While I probably could do it, I don't see a point in doing it. The special edition rubs me the wrong way; when I first used mods on it, I couldn't even get past the opening cutscene, not to mention the fact that if you use any mods whatsoever achievements were turned off. I don't know if thats changed, but those two things together made me significantly less enthusiastic about releasing stuff like this for Special Edition.

That being said, I'd actually be surprised if Skyrim SE didn't already have a mod like this available. Maybe it isn't on the Nexus though. If I recall correctly SE had its own server for mods to be uploaded.

I have Dawnguard now and was happy the Vampires look different, but was also annoyed with the dirty grimy appearance. This is awesome.:squirtyay:

Working so much better by itself. I had loaded too many face Mods before. My Characters face still looks super! Thanks so much!
