Description
I am no longer maintaining my Stellaris mods and, as a result, they are probably incompatible with the latest release. If you want to use my mods as the basis for your own, you are very welcome to do so.

---

This mod adds 10 new unity ambitions, which add permanent buffs to your empire. Each of these buffs has 5 levels (Initial / Improved / Advanced / Extreme / Maximal).

This gives you the ability to use unity to permanently improve your late-game empire, in ways that are not possible with repeatable technologies.

Available buffs:
  • Unified Diplomats:
    • +1 influence per level

  • Unified Subjects:
    • +40 subject trust cap per level

  • Unified Researchers:
    • +10% research speed per level

  • Unified Logistics Corps:
    • +10% naval capacity per level

  • Unified Terraformers:
    • Requires the ability to terraform
    • +20% terraforming speed and -5% terraforming cost per level
    • Research options are granted at levels 1 (Ecological Adaptation) and 3 (Climate Restoration), if you don't already have them.

  • Unified Civil Engineers:
    • +20% megastructure build speed and -5% megastructure build cost per level

  • Unified Starship Engineers:
    • Requires the ability to build titans
    • +50/100/200/400/1000/250 hull points per level (for corvettes / destroyers / cruisers / battleships / titans / defence platforms)
    • Research options (for increasing hull strength) are granted at levels 1 & 3, if you don't already have them.

  • Unified Weapons Engineers:
    • +10% fire rate and +10% weapons range per level

  • Unified Leaders:
    • +1 leader level cap and +10% leader experience gain per level

  • Unified Geneticists:
    • Requires the ability to genemod
    • +10% pop growth speed per level
    • +1 to +3 biological trait points
    • 0% to 25% species modification cost reduction (*)
    • Research options are granted at levels 1 (Gene Expressions) & 3 (Genetic Resequencing), if you don't already have them

  • Unified Roboticists:
    • Requires the ability to robomod
    • +10% robot build speed per level
    • +1 to +3 robot/machine trait points
    • 0% to 25% species modification cost reduction (*)
    • Research options for additional robomodding points are granted at levels 1 and 3, if you don't already have them

(*) Each time you pick either "Geneticists" or "Roboticists", you will receive an additional 5% species modification cost reduction, up to a maximum of 25%. This is because the species modification cost reduction applies to all types of species modification, and a total of 50% cost reduction would be extremely overpowered.

Known bugs:
  • Decreased megastructure build cost is no longer present in vanilla, so the workaround I've used may break in a future version. It is definitely working in v2.2.5, but has been reported to be broken in v2.2.6 beta. Please let me know if you have any further details/problems!

Suggested companion mods:

Technical info & compatibility:
  • This is a clean mod - no vanilla files are overwritten. As such, it should be compatible with any mod that doesn't drastically alter the core game.
  • The Unified Roboticists buff is split in two internally - different buffs for machine and biological empires.
  • The buffs should be properly gated if you don't have the necessary DLC (ie. you shouldn't be able to select them if you can't use them). But I have not fully tested this.

Earlier versions / Beta versions:
  • All of my mods are available on Github[github.com].

TLDR:
  • Tested version: 2.2.4
  • Required DLC: Apocalypse (to enable Unity Ambitions)
  • Ironman compatible: Yes
  • Achievement compatible: No

@LightningSye As per the note at the top of the mod, you're very welcome to do so. Good luck!

Hey man just wanted to let you know I'm going to use your code and see if I can get it working on 3.5.

@{OG} MasterPiece : Sorry, but it's not possible. It takes a couple of hours per mod to update for new versions when there hasn't been a major change in game design... and it sounds like there has in fact been a major change. Add to that the fact that the last time I launched Stellaris was 2 years ago and... yeah, no, sorry. But you're very welcome to take the code and make your own version that's compatible with the latest release.

Is it possible for you to update since 3.3 reworked all unity?

I take that back; that tech didn't unlike regular unity ambitions, either, so it's probably from another mod and not the 'actual' Ascension Theory tech.

I can't quite pin down the source of the problem, but this mod appears to no longer work as of 3.2.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before, would it be possible to make this mod (specifically the Starship Engineers feature) compatible with mods that add more ship sizes (NSC). Or is there a mod that already address this?

It's remarkable that this mod is still working in 2.8 Butler even when Paradox Launcher says it were made for 2.2. Funny and impressive work! :steamhappy: XD

Love this. But in the last week the "levels" have become duration 0. It does not seem to work anymore. Can we get an update?

Some of it does. Terraforming time doesnt appear to work & I cannot be sure if subject trust cap works.
