Fikes-Cityview UI Update

Description
This mod adds a display to the city view screen that indicates the local happiness provided vs the population as well as city income vs maintenance.

This allows the player to make better decisions regarding local happiness and additional buildings. The local happiness count does factor in all policies and religions in Gods and Kings/Vanilla. Modified buildings will also be counted correctly. HOWEVER, a mod that adds local happiness through some other means (for example, +1 happiness if nearby a desert tile) will NOT be counted.

VERSION 2: Version 2 is a minor revision that includes a single spelling error fix and support Vanilla Civilization V. It also includes support for mods which use the "building.IsVisilbe" function.

Vanilla Support: One quick note on Vanilla support is that the game will run fine, but your city view screen will include a line for faith with no value after it.

If for some reason the mod doesn't show up in your mod list after you subscribe, it can be downloaded directly from CivFanatics at http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=20743 . Once downloaded place it in your "\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS" folder.

Note: These UI updates directly modify the cityview.lua and xml files and is therefore not compatible with any other cityview modifications.

Some of the code for this mod was taken (with permission) from whoward69's pick and mix mods found at http://www.picknmixmods.com/

this mod is not compatible with BNW - it breaks the game

Is there an easy way to localize this mod by myself? I'd like to have a Russian version.

well, I have now moved on from this city view because unfortunately it's incompatible with the enhanced user interface mod (meaning you can only have 1 city view, not both) which I am now using
and while I did really like the happiness display right in city view, the enhanced user interface mod has a lot more features. forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=512263

I could probably compile a list of happiness/unhappiness stuff that were introduced with BNW although I don't know where to start. However since I will probably not use the mod, I'm not sure if people would really be interested.

Also I didn't check recently (been playing some other games but someone said earlier there was also an issue with specialists, so that might be a problem too)

I am surprised that this mod works at all in BNW. Even if it does I am sure a lot of the happiness figures are wrong since there are more ways to produce local happiness.

If someone will willing to get me a list of all of the civics, buildings, religion perks and what ever else increases local happiness I would be willing to update the mod.

Small problem with this and BNW. The required points for each great person is now different for each of the culture specialists but using this mod it still shows it as being the same as the scientist/merchant/engineer.

I have a discrepancy between what reports this mod compared to whoward69 - ui city happiness
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=469375
discrepancy is located at my capital which holds all my wonders, so either some policy(ies) or wonder(s) is/are probably not taken into account

still useful though

I don't know why subscribe wouldn't work, but it has happened to me before.

If you want the mod you can manually download and install it from CivFanatics at this URL

I had to do that with the faster aircraft animations mod.
