i imagine it wouldnt take much to create a setup attached to this to tear appart things then compact them to sit on the scrapper waiting for a need at some of the factories.

Yes, and I thought about that when designing this example tech, but opted for just selling any spurious resources. On other techs I've used a dropper to fling spare resources off (and a Collector to immediately grab them back to unsorted storage). Because, if you provide the crafting AI with a loop, it will tend to use it unnecessarily, sending resources on long routes and greatly extending crafting times.
View as on the second picture - remove the dongle at the upper right component factory.
Tested with HE Cruise Missle and Mk3 Battleship cannon ant the GSO Big Bertha.
everything works fine.
But i think there will be some issues if at any time any ressource will be missing. I had not tested that.
Btw. if you remember, i had build up a loop conveyor with an "back to sorting lane" system (just a silo with filter to force out to sorting lane) if you accidentally craft a block you dont wanted to. so the ressources will get back to storage.
