Better Dogs by Bellyache - German Shepherd

Description
Better Dogs reskins dogs to look like German Shepherds. The companions effected are Meeko, Vigilance, and 'Stray Dog.' The non-companions effected are Barbas, Stump, Ysgramor, Tiber, and Torom. Bran, CuSith, Garmr, and Sceolang (the dogs from Dawnguard) are not effected.

Intro and Credit:
Better Dogs is a beautiful high res mesh and retexture for dogs, developed by Bellyache. ALL credit goes to the origional author. Their mod can be found at: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1724. As her posted usage rights state, I am rebuilding the mod for the Workshop with no intention of profit from it. I just want to return a beautiful mod to use!

Main:
The dogs of the world should be valued companions, but with their ugly look, no one wants one! Now that doesn't have to be the case. This mod changes all the dogs in the game into a scary looking wolf inspired by the German Shepherd (perfect for Barbas, a Daedra in dog form)! Additionally, it makes it so that Vigilance, Meeko, and Barbas no longer effect your stealth meter and raises their level caps to 81, just like yours. They may not keep up in damage with daedric weapons, but at least they no longer hold you back!

Note:
There are a couple of new dogs to Dawnguard. This mod does not effect them. This mod does work with Dawnguard installed, but Bellyache never made skins for the Dawnguard dogs.

Updates:
v2.0: Current Version - Made Meeko and Vigilance no longer ghost or invicible (or even essential). Removed the no-bark animations (they are no longer silent, if you want that see my other dog mods).
v1.1: Update - Dogs are no longer Ghosts (meaning they can be studdered by attacks now... SLIGHTLY less overpowered).
v1.0: Release - All dogs are now made into wolves inspired by German Shephards and silenced. Meeko, Barbas, and Vigilance no longer effect stealth meter, are invincible, essential, and ghost. Their level cap also raised to 81.

very nice, the vanilla dogs always felt so goofy.

@hagglebaggle Yeah, another mod of mine called Better Dogs - Silence. That one and this one work fine together:

Is there any way to shut Meeko up?? He barks way too much. A bark once in a while is good. Meeko barks too much. Thanks.

@killemloud Simple answer: Yes. It activates automatically and the only thing they want you to do is subscibe or unsubscribe to control if it is active. You can modify load order from the Skyrim launcher.
Complicated answer: It is stored in your %Program Files (x86)%\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\ folder and some mods are .esp or .esm files or can be various loose files if they are textures or meshes (or .bsa's for packages), although everything on the workshop is a .esp or .esm because it is a Steam requirement. To manually control which are active or which order they are loaded you bring up the launcher and modify from there or go into your documents folder, my games, then skyrim and modify your plugins.txt.

Thank you for responding does it activate automatically? How do I toggle it where is it located? Thanks for the help

@killemloud That's all. Subscribing tells Steam to download and install it automatically.

@BruѕнwoodBowWow🐾 I've never experienced that, myself. I would take a look at everything but honestly it has been years since I had Skyrim even installed.
