Crow's World Gone Fishing

Description
This mod lets you net fish, fry fish, and dry fish. You will need to research Fishing. It's a lvl 1 research that cost 2 books and you will find it under Farming. Once researched it will fall under it's own catagory of the build menu as Fishing. The storage items will be under storage in the build menu.
Frying fish and drying fish will help improve your cooking stats while netting fish will help improve you farming stats.

You CAN NOT fry fish on the default campfire, you will have to use the Fish Fry campfire or the Fishing Camp that has a fire with it.

Fried fish and dried fish have the same food value as dried meat.

You can put up to 25 raw fish on the drying stand but you will now have to have 1 person at the drying stand to care for the fish.

The fish net will hold 10 fish at a time.

Known quirks:

The net will show it can be dropped on some land areas with high water content. Use your own discretion, it's best played in shallow water.

I have had one area that would not let me use the net along the northeast desert coast.

I welcome any advice on how I can correct these quirks.

UPDATE: I have slowed down the time it takes to net fish and to dry fish.

UPDATE: You won't need Crow's World: Eat Grubs mod to fish with the rod now but you will need it if you wish to eat grubs. The bait to fish with a rod has changed from Grubs to Blood Grubs. This update should fix any problem with the icons not showing up.

Update: You can now put cooked fish and dried fish in the animal feeder.

Update: Fish items should no longer show as creating a town.

Update: You will now catch Grand Fish with the Fishing Pole. Grand Fish and Salt will make Salted Fish Packs on the stove. There is now a Salt Mine and a Salt Processor you can use to get Salt.

Update: Fixed a problem with the Hub gates and building in the Hub after the last update.

Update: Salt is now sold in some Bars, Bakery, and Caravans.

@TooManyKobolds: It may be a conflict with another mod.

ive tried that. none of them will REMOVE bait, or fish from their containers. no matter how i layer the tasks. how many people i have set to stagger the tasks. best i can manage is to get them to do something when i MANUALLY make them pick it up. theyll take the bait to storage. then theyll take it, fish then run it back and then nothing.

@TooManyKobolds: Have separate runners set up take the fish to storage.

idk if this is where id post this but, im having issues setting up an automated command line for the fishing jobs. my net fisher will fish a single fish before hauling it to the drying rack over and over instead of letting it fill up. and my rod fisher set to get bait and operate fishing rod and haul fish just kind STOPS doing anything once the fishing rods out of bait. they wont grab more bait. idk if its a quirk? or like the way i have my job commands layered?

Howdy; just wanted to pop in and mention that perhaps this mod is a bit unbalanced. A single fishing net can reliably feed a squad of 5 or 6 without any other reliable sources of food with a somewhat skilled farmer; with comparably little upkeep. I edited the production rate values down to about 60% of base and that ended up making a fishery much more comparable to a farm in similarly fertile conditions

Well, my latest play involves building a coastal fishing operation, so I can safely say I'm making use of the mod, thanks!

@In_cap: It did have some problems with out the separate containers.
