Death Penalty

Are you bored all day because you are max level? Do you just sit around with boxes filled with every item in the game? Has the world and its inhabitants become too easy because you can just come back a thousand times until you win?

Hi, I'm Chuda Ruri here for the world's greatest mod, Death Penalty.

Now you can barely survive a sandstorm, keep just a sliver of health after a fall, or kill a dangerous foe and feel the rush that you actually almost died! Just install Death Penalty and remember what its like to know fear and the thrill of victory once again!

The Death Penalty mod offers the following amazing features:

  • Set it so that nothing causes Permadeath so you can run RP events such as gladiator pits without having to remove the mod!
  • Set it so that ALL deaths cause Permadeath!
  • Set it so that ONLY deaths caused by NPCs and PCs cause Permadeath!
  • Set it so that ONLY deaths caused by PCs cause Permadeath!

But wait, Chuda Ruri, you say! What if I don't want to penalize starting characters too much? I have you covered! You can decide when the Permadeath penalty starts!

  • Set it so that Permadeath only starts at a specific level!

But wait, Chuda Ruri, you say! What if Permadeath is too great a penalty, but I still want consequences for death?

Well, if you act now and install Death Penalty, I will include absolutely free with every order, Level Loss instead of Permadeath! Harken back to the old school MMO's with the punishment of losing your experience when you die!

  • Set it so that nothing causes Level Loss so you can run RP events such as gladiator pits without having to remove the mod!
  • Set it so that ALL deaths cause Level Loss!
  • Set it so that ONLY deaths caused by NPCs and PCs cause Level Loss!
  • Set it so that ONLY deaths caused by PCs cause Level Loss!
  • Set it so that Level Loss only starts at a specific level!

But install Death Penalty right now and I will double down on the Level Loss by including, as a completely free bonus with every order, the ability to choose the number of levels lost when a character suffers Level Loss!

That's a shame! This is exactly what I was looking for and exactly the kind of mod Conan needs these days. Game is too easy, even on Barbaric settings. :( Hope it gets an update.

Apologies if my previous comment came through. I read through the rest of the older comments and it looks like that is something you were looking into at one point (i.e. attribute points on level loss) Awesome mod really. I just wish it would remove or reset attributes on death for level loss. Great work, and I wish you the best in your modding/game dev endeavors :)

Couldn't you just set the world for "no ownership"? I'd test that out with an admin that could reclaim everything if lost. But I think that would let you live dangerously, die heroically, but then have buildings you could come back to. Been a minute since I played with those server settings though. Hope it helps
