Frostbite Ridge - 40k -

Description
This Frozen ridge pass holds passage to vast minerals and water reserves, vital for survival and economical success on the planet Fenris. Rumors have even fortold of an ancient sacred relic locked in eternal ice, such relics are prized amoungst the 41st millenium often swaying the tide of battle. who will pass the ridge First be it friend or foe or will
you sucumb to the frosts bitter cold.

This map contains multi levels (caves) making for alot of ground to fight on, Id advise using at least 2.5k points or larger to maximise the size. Its vital to uncheck autoraise on all models when fighting on lower levels especially in the caves failure to do so will result in frustration as the models try to jump to higher lvls.

The blizzard effect is comprised of one big fog beneath the centre bridge and 4 snow cubes above the map.

I take no credit for any of the model designs you see in the map, that goes to the wonderful workshop community, I just like arranging said pieces in ways to create hopefully atmospheric and enjoyable map Scenery. Map size is 120x90 inches

Please enjoy and go reak some havoc in the 40k Universe!

sorry to all for some objects failing to load, not much I can do if the objects I used mainly the cave entrances are missing as the souce is no longer available, I'll try to get somthing else to fill the holes.@ ZireNatrix The runes are part of a joint that can move around another object, its not a script and can be made to pivot around different axis at different speeds, ( joints are made using the attach tool) ,there are some good tutorials online in regards to learning joints for TTS, I'm sure in no time ull be making your own.

Such an amazing map! Maybe it's an easy question, but since I'm quite new in this I'll risk myself: how do you keep rotating the runes? Some sort of script?

This is an amazing map but a few pieces won't load in. how do I fix this?

This is a beautiful build; multiple levels, fantastic detail, liberal use of blocking terrain while also providing large swathes of open air, it's a marvel among other maps in the workshop. However, the table also lacks any way to discern deployment types (outside of Search and Destroy since you divided the board into quadrents) as well as at least one out-of-bounds surface too spawn armies. The latter is addmitedly trivial, but you'd probably want to search out Bacon cat bug (or however you actually spell his name) for advice on how to apply spawnable deployment walls

Terms like walls, cliff face, mountains, terrain are all good starts, also looking up other already made maps for your purpose, ie: 40k for me it may be DnD for you, may have some starting terrain pieces you may be able to adapt.

No problem, the time, effort, creativity, and amazingenss is A+, even if you didnt make the objects yourself. What kind of search terminology do you use to find objects for it?

Good question, the object was ripped and was already see through on one side, I believe they do it when they import the object into blender or like wise program, then bring it across to TTS. I dont beleive an object can be made to look see through by just altering it by any means in TTS by its self, needs importing that way. Best to ask some one who actually imports scanned objects that are transparent into TTS. Sorry I cant be more helpful on this one.

How did you get the edge of the table to be see through from the outside but have a wall from the inside? That blew my mind.
