Realistic Donald Trump

This is not a purely hate on Trump mod. This mod gives Trump bonuses and penalties like any real life world leader should have. If you cannot fathom the idea that president Trump did not win at everything than this is not a mod for you. There are other mods already available for your Trump stomp fantasies. I am not likely to release any more updates beyond compatibility ones for this mod. Since very few haters of the mod have ever bothered to bring supporting facts to explain why penalties are not warranted there is no reason for discussions anymore. They had four years to make a case, but mostly just commented insults and anecdotal suggestions not based on reality.

All diplomacy dialogue are actual quotes from Donald Trump.

Leader Trait

Nation Divided

• Your cities produce -2 Amenity & -5 Loyalty per a turn. Due to changes in Happiness which are explained below and in discussion threads this is effectively only -1 Amenity and if your playing vanilla very slight chance for rebel units.
  
• Your palace produces -15% Science, + 20% Gold.
  
• Earns some government legacy bonuses 25% quicker. (Vanilla only)
  
• All Diplomatic policy slots in the current government are converted to Wildcard slot.

Civilization Trait

Military so big, powerful & strong

• +1 Extra Military Slot in any government. (Due to increases in defense budget)
  
• Your drones provide an additional +1 range to your adjacent siege units. (Due to changes made in rules of engagement)
  
• +15% production towards Space projects (Due to new Space Policy Directive and small increase to NASA funding

+2 Culture, +1 Gold, +1 Amenity, -1 Science, -1 Great Scientist per a turn
(A campaign rally is a safe place for President Donald Trump to visit when he needs to surround himself with people who don't question anything he says.)

+1 Gold, -1 Science compared to normal university.

Budget Cut Research Lab
-1 Science compared to normal research lab.
(The budget cuts are still being reviewed. Once they have been finalized this will be adjusted or hopefully removed.)Removed because congress rejected nearly all of Trump's budget cuts to science in 2018 & 2019 budgets. 2020 budget has more cuts so this may return later.

Trump Slump Film Studio
-25% tourism compared to normal Film Studio.
(Since until now Film Studio has not been apart of Trump's Merica this is an overall bonus to tourism despite the -25% effectiveness. It also opens up a way for me to adjust tourism over time should the Trump Slump continue.)

Unique District

Deregulated Industrial Zone
No maintenance, +1 Gold for each Specialist, lowers the appeal of nearby tiles bigly.

Very Stable Genius

• President Trump hates open borders agreements and is less likely to suggest having one.
  
• He likes civilizations which he does not have an open border agreement with.
  
• If a civilizations has an open border agreement with Trump he will blame that civilization for problems in Merica and therefore like that civilization less.
  
• Likes civilizations who follow the same Religion, and wants his cities to all follow the same Religion.
  
• Hates anyone trying to spread their Religion into his empire.
  
• Has no hesitation to use nuclear weapons. (Unlike Nuke Happy Trump does not want other civilizations to have nukes)
  
• Does not like civilizations who are weak in science or production. (He considers them to be to be s###hole countries.
  
• Is very unlikely to offer aid to other countries, or participate in most emergency.
  
• Will avoid building all forms of wind farms because he thinks they cause cancer.

Reworked Game Mechanics

Happiness & Rebellions
I added a new highest rank of unhappiness and moved all the normal negative modifiers up one tier to the new highest rank. I am creating a discussion with more details. The short of it is Trump now has about a 1% chance of rebellions right from start of game while other civilizations are mostly unaffected by the change. (Vanilla only)
