Argentine Republic (G-K)

Description
This mod adds Argentina to the game as a playable civilization. (G-K version)
This mod does not contain 3D models. Updating this game (or downloading and using) will most likely break save games. Feedback and tips are appreciated! :)

For the BNW version, click here

Alternative download: http://www.2shared.com/file/uipQ-V4-/Argentine_Republic__G-K_.html?
(.rar file, unpack with Winrar to My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization V/MODS)

If Steam sucks and doesn't work for you, try this:
1. Turn off the game.
2. Delete the Civ5ModsDatabase.db from Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache.
3. Launch the game and go to the mod section again.
After waiting for a brief period, all missing downloads should initiate and install!

Leader: José de San Martín
UA: Plantations and Trading Posts provide +1 Science. Free Great Scientist upon discovering Education.

UB: The Yerba Mate Field is the Argentine replacement for the Garden. It provides 2 food, +15% Gold and 1 Yerba Mate luxury resource. It takes longer to build than the Garden.

UU: The Mounted Grenadier Regiment is the Argentine replacement for the Cavalry unit. It does not have a city penalty, unlike the Cavalry. However, it does take longer to produce one unit(+20% production).

HOW TO INSTALL THE ALTERNATIVE UB and UA ( If you want to switch back, you should first copy and paste the original files somewhere so you can do the same steps with those files.):

1. Go to My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization V/MODS

2. Click on Argentine Republic (G-K), and then go to the Alternative trait and building map.

3. Copy Civ_Argentina.xml and paste it in Civilizations map (in the XML map in the Argentine Republic (G-K) map)

4. Do the same with CIV5Leader_Jose_de_San_Martin.xml in the leaders map, also in the XML map.

Spanish language available for Spanish users! Thanks to HaCkKpO for translating this mod!
HOW TO INSTALL SPANISH LANGUAGE (If you want to change back, you should resubscribe or you should copy the original gametext.xml file to another location beforehand.):

1. Go to My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization V/MODS

2. Click on Argentine Republic (G-K), and then go to the Language_Spanish map. Copy gametext.xml

3. Go back to Argentine Republic (G-K) and then to the XML folder. Paste the gametext.xml and overwrite the original gametext.xml. It should now be in Spanish!

Version information:
V2 - Minor city bug fix.
V3 - Increased production costs of UU to balance this civ more.
V4 - Added alternative UB and UA
V5 - Spanish language added!

Special Thanks to:
Kael. For his guide.
The CivFanatics community. For the tips and information regarding luxury resources.
Lots of credit to the artists and/or owners of the original art/images I used!

thanks davey_henninger — if would be so kind, please direct me to the discussion thread or whatever where the other mod is located? not that I don't appreciate this one, of course.

Well, it's just Argentina. Not focused on San Martin. Also, another modder will make a Argentina with San Martin as well. And frankly, it has the Yerba plantation as an improvement as well!

Yierba mate field?? I thought it was José de San Martin's Argentina, not post-modern intellectual Argentina :) Littoral Pastures should be in there somewhere — like as a special cattle-tile improvement that yields extra gold, since that is what was the backbone of the pre-industrial and early industrial nation.
