Well, it's just Argentina. Not focused on San Martin. Also, another modder will make a Argentina with San Martin as well. And frankly, it has the Yerba plantation as an improvement as well!

Yierba mate field?? I thought it was José de San Martin's Argentina, not post-modern intellectual Argentina :) Littoral Pastures should be in there somewhere — like as a special cattle-tile improvement that yields extra gold, since that is what was the backbone of the pre-industrial and early industrial nation.

Awesome mod, may i suggest replacing the Parilla with a special pasture tile improvement for cattle which provides both the luxury and normal beef resource

Is the correct way to the game "understands" the special characters, like the tilde and acutes (ó, ñ, ü, etc), on UTF-8 encode. Like a browser "understand" the source-code of a webpage...

Okay, you need to go to Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Argentine Republic (G-K). Open the Language_Spanish folder and open the Gametext.xml with notepad or any other editing programme. You need to translate everything that's between <text></text> and nothing else. Also, do not change the icon definitions such as [ICON_GOLD] or [ICON_RES_YERBA_MATE] etc.

Tell me when you're done. You can send to file to me via mail, or upload it on the internet.

You'll have to edit "Gametext.xml", but not everything regarding text is defined there, because now you can put every bit of text directly into the file where it belongs. If you want to do this correctly, I'm gonna have to define everything in that particular file.
So basically, I have to update this mod first before you can edit the file :P

And i think that it could be a primitive mounted unit the "gauchos" (like cowbys)... Just a suggestion ^^

I can do something with the cows and sheep idea. I could make some alternatives for you, since some people probably like it the way it is now. Totally changing it wouldn't be a good idea.
The +1 food and gold could be part of a new trait.
This new trait should come with a building that supports it even more. The Yerba mate field or the building you suggested wouldn't exactly fit. I was thinking of adding a building that would require cows and gives Argentine Beef as a luxury. If you know some kind of UB that supports your suggested trait, tell me :)

También creo que la habilidad argentina tendría que estar relacionada con los alimentos, teniendo en cuenta que el campo fue siempre el motor del país. Por ejemplo, un "+1 alimentos y +1 oro" a los recursos como Vacas, ovejas, etc. estaría más cerca de la realidad que el incentivo en ciencia.

Con el escudo y la unidad única la pegaste.

Hola! Justo iba a armar una civilización argentina, y vi tu mod.
Me gusta bastante y lo estoy usando, pero tengo un par de consejos.

No entiendo porqué la habilidad sea tan inclinada a la ciencia, teniendo en cuenta que no destacamos (soy argentino). Si es cierto que hicimos un trabajo grande en educación primaria a finales del s XIX que nos hizo destacar mucho a nivel regional, quizás reemplazar el Yerba mate field por un bonus en la construcción de escuelas sea más apropiado (la yerba mate como recurso no creo que sirve, porque argentina nunca la exporto más allá de paises vecinos).

@zombie1414 I could always make an alternative UB for you, if you want. It'll probably take a while, since I'm rather busy.

I'm not sold on the UB. I don't think argentina should have it's own resource to trade. The UA is strong but not too strong so having a less powerful UB would make more sense.

When you hit the subscribe button, does it at least download something? I do get the same problem with other mods (it's a steam problem). Haven't tried myself yet, but I just read that going offline and back online in Steam does the trick. (upper left corner of Steam screen, offline play etc.)

@RoboNorris9K What's the exact problem? Are you sure you've downloaded the Vanilla version? This version doesn't work for Vanilla Civ V.
