DynamicVRC

Description
Dynamic View Range Changer - DVRC
Automatically adjusts view range based on your PC's performance in the last 1/4th of a second!

No more need to sacrifice pretty sights just to painlessly pass through the depths of Valo
As your framerate lowers, distant visibility is turned down on-the-fly to compensate.
When driving through less graphically demanding areas, instead of just excessive frames being spewed, more and more scenery will be revealed, at times far beyond what the settings menu allows!

By default, DVRC aims to keep your FPS slightly above 60 as you drive, if you'd like to run the game at a different framerate, this can be adjusted using an in-game settings menu;
While outside, press 'P' while using the Horn to adjust DVRC's behaviour!

Features:
> Automatic view range adjustment, based on framerate, actions and environment, resulting in a consistent framerate, and revealing distant scenery when there's power to spare!
> Minimum view range is adjusted based on your speed, so visibility is never low enough to be unsafe
> When coasting, using cruise control or not moving for a few seconds, framerate target is lowered, allowing more scenery to be shown
> Fog density/fade is adjusted alongside the view range, so the game always looks natural
> No artificial limit for maximum (nor minimum) view range, see as far as the game engine can handle!
> Extended view range when using the free camera, for improved screenshots
> Option for an in-game display of FPS and current view range (disabled by default)

> Everything listed above (and more!) can be enabled/disabled/adjusted using DVRC's in-game settings menu!

NOTE: DynamicVRC is designed to be used with uncapped framerate;
If you're using any mode of framerate limiting (such as V-Sync), for DVRC to work as intended, please ensure that DVRC's FPS targets are set to BELOW your limit!
Otherwise, your view range will not be increased, due to the game not running 'well enough'!
DVRC does NOT monitor your hardware usage, it only sees how many more frames than needed are being produced;
The more your FPS exceeds the target, the faster your view range will be increased!

Compatability:
Replaces Scene.java from \sl\Scripts\game\src, tested for build 938.

Installation:
Same as any other SLRR Workshop item - Library > SLRR > Play > Launch Game Editor

Please feel free to leave feedback in the comments!
Don't worry about being "late", I'm still working on SL! :)

Thanks, good to hear that it helps :)
In the Settings (Honk + press 'P'), go into CHANGE RATES, and increase the SPEED-BASED INCREASE IN CITY value! This will make going fast safer by giving you even more viewrange based on speed.

Otherwise, there really isn't much you can do to prevent traffic from popping-in altogether without modifying the files.
Though note that anything that increases FPS also increases resource load rate!
Reducing traffic density would surely help, alongside disabling pedestrians and reducing other graphics settings.

Hey man! You really did a great job on this mod, my performance skirocketed! But I'm with a slight problem in here. I'm using only the old city and old car models mod with the VRC and when I'm running across the town the traffic cars spawn almost always leaving me no room to evade them. Is there any config you would reccomend to avoid crashing into traffic everytime I go more then 200 kmh? Please bear in mind that my pc is an inspirion 5000 and so it's not any gamer pc that I can just put my draw distance all the way up xD

There's no standalone mod that you could download for this (yet?).
