! 934 Workshop Installer [ARCHIVE ITEM]

Description
*** Important! ***
All the described issues are fixed with the 2022-11-16 game update. NOT quite, get the fixed version here:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3013463335

The fully compatible "Custom Workshop Installer" still has some advantages to offer

If you get following error when uninstalling mods try this pre Build 935 Workshop Installer.
Error: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/497180/discussions/0/1697167355220583224/
As this has some other issues*(listed below) and lets you install conflicting mods I highly recommend using the Custom Workshop Installer to avoid messing up game files.
*other issues:
- can not install workshop items with id greater than 2147483647 - uploaded around July 2020, it tries to install those from
"your steam library folder"\steamapps\workshop\content\497180\-2099480041
and leaves empty uninstall file
- corrupted workshop.dat which stores the installed state
- showing some mods as not installed
- error "are you sure the game is installed?"
- running the installer from other(renamed) game directory would work for installing but not for uninstalling
- allows installing conflicting mods (to restore original files you have to uninstall these mods in reversed order)
- uninstalling some mods breaks the game because it removes some game files
known mods which this installer fails to uninstall properly:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1165081779
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1260638035
there may be more

Usage:
[1]. Subscribe
[2]. Install (not recommended)
or copy from "your steam library folder"\steamapps\workshop\content\497180\1272012337 to SLRR folder
[3]. Run WorkshopInstaller_934.exe from SLRR folder
or if you want to run it from steam (game editor option):
- a. first remove or rename the "WorkshopInstaller.exe",
- b. then rename "WorkshopInstaller_934.exe" to "WorkshopInstaller.exe"

Tip:
If you have subscribed to many mods and it takes a while to load try running the workshop installer offline.

Further information
(As far as I know)

Common
The installer copies files from "your steam library folder"\steamapps\workshop\content\497180\"workshop_id"
to the game folder "your steam library folder"\steamapps\common\Street Legal Racing Redline
The installer does not remove directories that were created by installing a mod

File "workshop.dat"
The workshop.dat file seems to save the information if the mod is installed, as it is changed everytime you click install/remove.

Folder "workshop_uninstall"
When you install a mod with workshop installer it creates a file in "workshop_uninstall" directory.
The file is named after the id of corresponding workshop item.
For example id of this item is 1272012337. You can find it in the URL address bar, e.g. address of this page: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1272012337
(To enable URL address bar go to Steam > Settings > Interface and check "Display Steam URL address bar when available")
The file contains paths of added/replaced files. If the mod replaces the original file, the original will be renamed to filename + .bak + id

for example installing "Smokeless Tires" mod creates "workshop_uninstall\1170367291", content of the file is (in my case):
E:\games\steamapps\common\Street Legal Racing Redline\particles\scripts\particle_clouds\asphalt.cfg E:\games\steamapps\common\Street Legal Racing Redline\particles\scripts\particle_clouds\asphalt.cfg.bak1170367291
We see a full paths here, so if you install mods and your game path changes, and then you want to uninstall, the installer will look in the old path saved in the file in workshop_uninstall directory. So you would need to edit the files and replace the old path with new one (in notepad do Ctrl + H to search and replace). Making the paths relative seems to work also, so for the above example it would look like this
particles\scripts\particle_clouds\asphalt.cfg particles\scripts\particle_clouds\asphalt.cfg.bak1170367291

Clean game install
If you uninstall the game the files that were added by mods and files created by the game (such as saves) will remain in the gamefolder. Before you reinstall the game delete its folder to get a clean install.

The installer released with build 935 was broken. This is the previous less broken version.
It isn't needed since the Custom Workshop Installer is there.
