AI Climate Improvements [Currently Outdated]

Description
Last Update: 2018.05.30

Features
  • The AI now finds uninhabitable regions much less interesting for conquest and it will mostly just sack or raze them. It will no longer colonize uninhabitable regions.
  • The AI now treats suitable and unsuitable regions differently. It will still colonize and conquer unsuitable regions, but the chance to sack or raze them is much higher.
  • There are no longer AI profiles that ignore the type of climate. Every faction will now take the climate into consideration when deciding whether to conquer, sack, raze or colonize a settlement.

Compatibility
  • Savegame compatible
  • Modifies cai_personality_occupation_decision_***, as long as an other mod does not change it you will be good to go!
  • SFO compatible (2018.02.02)



This mod was originaly made by Leylos. I decided to continue his work because he opted to quit maintaining his version.

Hello! I would like to begin my WH2 journey once the game gets its final updates/patches/tweaks and so on. I have no modding experience but I would like to continue the work you started here. Namely, I would like to create a very simple mod that forbids the AI from occupying unsuitable territories (orange & red climates relative to its faction). Mainly for my personal use, but if other people find it interesting, that's great. Could I contact you for some discussions on the topic?

Well, Bretonnia decided to colonize all of Norsca so I think the AI went bonkers again.

I did not test or change anything for a while and really don't know myself. Sorry I can't help you here atm. Maybe give it a try and see yourself.

@DaTroll When you say "it needs to be updated", what are you referring to? Is there any non negligeable issues caused by the fact this (quite useful imo) mod is outdated?
