This mod, as it is my first mod, gives you detachment units for Empire and Middenland in custom battle and campaign. For now, the unit cap is 3 each, but i want to try some effects with unit cap variations and implement them later if possible.

Changes compared to Original Unit:

- The leadership of all Detachments is 50
- Hp halfed
- men count halfed
- special rule: "expandable"
- Militia Detachment lost Vanguard
- The ai usage of the Militia Detachment is now melee not missile
- Crossbowmen and Handgunners Detachment can't Skirmish (they are supposed to support their Regimental Unit)

Detachment units:

- Swordsmen
- Halberdiers
- Spearmen
- Spearmen (Shields)
- Crossbowmen
- Handgunners
- Militia


Why should i get this crap?
I did it, because I missed fielding a massiv empirial army, but i wanted to keep the balance. As a tabletop player (empire ;)) i also missed the special rule in TW, what is an unique army mechanic for organised empire state troops.

So what is their role on the battlefield?
The detachments can easily be overrun. their men count is small and the leadership is bad. so for themself, the detachments are wasted. The Empire uses them for supporting "Regimental Units". In TT every RU can be supported by max 2 detachments. With a halberdier detachment, your swordmen main gets AP dmg for example. Other usage can be a charge reaction. If the detachments support, the main regiment gets the initial charge. but you can position the detachments in front so they get the initial charge and your main gets fresh and unharmed in melee. if you have a wide front-line, detachments on the flank can easily flank out enemies. Detachments beside missile troops can secure flank and back.........at least for a while

I can have a regiment of spearmen instead, easily..!!
Sure. this mod only fills the gaps in your ranks and it looks damn cool. and if you run out of money in campaign or custom battles, you can get some cheap fodder until your economy (budget) is on the right way. Esp. in custom battles, this mod works nice. The unit cost (and upkeep) is slightly higher than just half the original price. so it should be cheaper bringing a full unit instead of a detachment.

That makes Empire OP, they are Top Tier already.
Sure, as empire player you have more possibilities and.....more men. But as i tested, with low leadership, halfed man count, halfed HP and the "expandable" special rule, they will not have that much influence. and still it is a cool unique mechanic :)

Will this be all?
No. i try to figure out how unit cap can be increased by recruiting a special type of unit. So future plans are, that Regimental Units can increase cap of detachments. Also i try to get a Leadership buff for detachments when regimental units are nearby. But i need some help with effects,special abilities, attributes and so on...if someone has an idea, just tell me :)

Is it compatible with other mods?
The Units are not optimized for Radious or SFO yet. They are just "new units", so there should be no problem with compatibility

I would like to have some feedback. so just wright down what you don't like or hit a thumbs up :).

main focus should be campaign. in mp it is just a filler to create a infantry armybuild. you could also fill up space with crossbowmen detachment or militia. works good on wide formations.
